My FAVORITE CITY in Russia? | Kazan, Tatarstan
Kazan, Tatarstan, Russia - Our third stop on our journey across the entire country of Russia on the Trans-Siberian Railway is Kazan.
We arrive early on the train from Moscow to Kazan and head straight out to the Blue Lake of Kazan.
We go scuba diving in the Blue Lake and then head back into the city of Kazan, capital of the Republic of Tatarstan for lunch and exploration.
We try traditional Russian and Tatar food and then explore the Kazan Kremlin and bustling Bauman Street in downtown Kazan.
The next morning we take a boat from kazan to the ancient capital of Bolgar, where we visit the old city and go inside the White Mosque.
From there, it was back into Kazan to catch the Trans-Siberian Railway once more - this time, we're heading into the Ural Mountains!

In November 2020, I decided to escape my daily routine and visit Kazan, one of my favorite cities in Russia. Kazan is a unique combination of cohabitation of people of hundreds of nations. For the last decade Kazan has been developed to purely European city but it also saved it's natural mixed vibe of numerous cultures.

My name is Daria and I live in Moscow. I decided to make a little trip to Kazan for one day.
Some facts.
Kazan is the sixth most populous city in Russia.
It is one of the host cities for the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
Population of Kazan is more than 1 243 500.
Kazan lies at the confluence of the Volga and Kazanka Rivers.
There are 2 official languages in Kazan: Russian and Tatarian. And they have 2 presidents.
Kazan’s subway has 10 stations.
There is an Aero express from the airport. It takes 30 minutes to get to the center. It costs 40 rubles, in comparison, in Moscow a ticket for aero express costs 500 rubles.
You will see many historical buildings, the beautiful Volga river, taste national sweets and dishes, meet calm people.
In comparison with Moscow this city is calm, the air is fresh, and the prices are lower.
Most interesting places are concentrated in the center of Kazan. Let’s start our trip.

Kazan was founded as an outpost on the northern borders of Volzhkaya. In the 13th century, Kazan rapidly developed and became an important trade and political center of the Golden Horde. The favorable geographical location on the trade ways connecting East and West was the reason for the growth of Kazan.

На побережье реки Казанка притока Волги лежит город Арск - районный центр в Татарстане.
В 65 километрах от него находится Казань. На городской территории действует железнодорожная станция,
расположенная на линии направлением Казань - Агрыз. Экономика Арска основывается на деятельности промышленных
предприятий - асфальтного, крахмального, картофелесушильного, кирпичного заводов, комбината по выпуску молочной продукции,
меховой фабрики и производства по изготовлению строительных материалов.
Название города имеет тюркские корни и означает Тыльный, задний. Крепость Арск ещё с давних времён являлась тыловым
укреплением в северной части Казанского ханства. И в нынешние времена татары в обиходе называют здешние места Казан арта,
что означает Тыл Казани. Согласно древним преданиям основателем Арска считается хан Батый. В 13 веке по его указу на речном
берегу было заложено новое поселение, о котором впервые упоминалось в русских летописях от 1497 года.
В 1552 году воинские части русской армии захватили Арск. Русской оборонительной крепостью он стал в 1606 году
. В конце второй половины 18 столетия являлся уездным городом. В период с 1906 по 1910 годы в Арске вёл
свою деятельность одно из отделений Союза Русского народа. Руководил им купец Николай Щёлкин - городской староста.
Во времена Советского Союза, начиная с 1926 года, был селом, а затем посёлком городского типа. Основным занятием горожан
того периода было ремесленничество, скотоводство и земледелие. Вновь статус города Арск получил в 2008 году.
Современный Арск славится производством обуви, среди которой наиболее популярными считаются сапожки из кожи ягнёнка.
Редкий музей действует в Арске. Небольшое культурное учреждение Алифбы занимает несколько комнат.
Его экспонатами являются более 300 азбук на разных языках мира. В предместье города находится музей-усадьба
прославленного татарского поэта Габдуллы Тукай, который является создателем татарского литературного языка.
Недалеко от Арска в деревне Кырлай установлен мемориальный комплекс в его память.
В 1996 году на территории средневекового Арского городища проводились археологические раскопки.
Исследования подтвердили век основания древнего поселения. Во время работ были обнаружены серебряные джучидские монеты,
датируемые 15 столетием, многочисленные предметы и изделия, выполненные из керамики, стекла и железа.

Kazan Russia, This is not my first time here, i was here last tike in russia , definitely worth a visit if you like USSR related thibgs amd like to dress up and have fun , really cool place which i could soend hours in here, love the place !
To those of you new to my channel asking why i dont do tours of historic areas and museum’s, museums are not my thing , sometimes I’l see historical things , sometimes ill just walk around a neighborhood … its usually more aboit tge people i meet along tge way .. uploading is difficult while traveling but doing my best .. thanks for watching … you have to use auto subtitles if youneed hem , its not something i can just then on etc , id have to have a local translate with timing , send me a file to uploa , thats what people do for a job and the costs add up , this trip has already cost a lot so i apologize for the lack of subtitles !
