La Perouse is a suburb in south-eastern Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. The suburb of La Perouse is located about 14 kilometres southeast of the Sydney central business district, in the City of Randwick.
The La Perouse peninsula is the northern headland of Botany Bay. It is notable for its old military outpost at Bare Island and the Kamay Botany Bay National Park. Congwong Bay Beach, Little Congwong Beach, and the beach at Frenchmans Bay provide protected swimming areas in Botany Bay. La Perouse is one of few Sydney suburbs with a French name, others being Sans Souci, Engadine and Vaucluse. Kurnell is located opposite, on the southern headland of Botany Bay.

The rural town of Penshurst in south western Victoria; historically significant, environmentally recognised and located at the junction of four major highways, has been serving this region since 1857. The bluestone from Mt Rouse, our dormant volcano, can be found in the State Parliament and Treasury buildings in Spring Street, Melbourne; as can stained glass works of art, created by Mervyn Napier Waller who was born and raised here, be seen at the glorious Hall of Memory at the Australia War Memorial in Canberra.
Our 'Never Fail Spring' in the Botanic Gardens has been a continuous water resource, for the three different groups of indigenous Australians who gathered there for ceremonies that go back to the times, in their oral histories, when the volcanoes around us were still active; to the early settlers; and the aquifers under the Mount continue to provide water to the town.
Some of our attractions include the Yatmerone Wildlife Reserve, the Volcanoes Discovery Centre, the view from Mt Rouse (below), and our yearly events including the Penshurst Art Exhibition and the Boxing Day Races.

A Walk Around PENSHURST | Kent
In the final of four Vlogs from out and about in the Kent Countryside and The Garden of England, Al and I are in the Historic Village of Penshurst. The Village grew up around Penshurst Place, which is the ancestral home of the Sidney Family since Tudor times. We look at St. John the Baptist Church where there’s been a Place of Worship since at least Saxon Times. In the Churchyard in front of the Porch is the Dole Table, a very rare large stone table which was used once a year to distribute money to the poor of the Village.

Hi, Guys Mabuhay PIpol of the Universe! In today's video, we are going to explore the township in victoria the Dartmoor. tara na pipol of the universe ????????????
Dartmoor is a small town located southwest of Victoria – roughly 50km and a 35-minute drive from Mount Gambier.
This family-friendly rural area is surrounded by numerous natural attractions such as the Lower Glenelg National Park and the Glenelg River.
The area’s rich history dates back to its pastoral days, as it was once a centre for grazing, as well as softwood plantations. Today, the town’s laid-back charm has attracted many visitors who come for the many exciting attractions and activities to enjoy.
Outdoor activities are particularly popular in Dartmoor. Not to be missed is the Dartmoor Heritage Trail Walk which takes you to the Avenue of Honour, which dates back to 1918. The Avenue of Honour is abundant with Atlantic Cedar Trees, but while the original nameplates have somehow gone missing, there is a plaque that lists down all the tree’s locations. The Dartmoor Heritage Trail Walk is the best way to learn about the town’s history, as well as find out the exciting plans for development.
For some souvenirs, check out the Community Op Shop located in the St George’s Anglican Church Building. Proceeds of the shop go to local community groups, so it’s shopping for a good cause.
Another notable attraction is the Coach House Museum, which was established in 1993. It aims to preserve the district’s written, oral, object, and pictorial history through a fascinating collection of displays. There are regular themed exhibitions, but social and family researchers find the information here particularly important. Publications of district history are for sale as well.
The Nowlee Arts and Crafts centre within the museum features locally made designs; including art pieces, bags, quilts, and much more. These make great gifts and souvenirs, and if you are looking for a custom item, they can also take special orders.

Our visit to Ightham Mote in Kent
A tour around the house and grounds of Ightam Mote in Kent. This 14th-century National Trust manor house, surrounded by a moat is part of our Historic England series of videos. ????
Our tour will take you around the grounds, with its picnic areas, lakes and various gardens of this historic home in Kent. Its history dates to around 1340 and has adapted over the years. The tour of the house starts with the 1950's library of the last public owner, Charles Henry Robinson, of Portland, Maine, featuring a picture of Ightham Mote by Sir Winston Churchill. A walk through the Grand Hall takes to back to the Tudor & Stuart periods of English history, and the rest of the home explores Ightham's passage through time.
A final look around the grounds & gardens before taking a closer look at the mote, or moat, surrounding this charming country home set in the Kent countryside
