Discover Portugal's Secret Paradise: the Silver Coast, Nazare and Peniche.
The Silver Coast is a region located in the central part of Portugal, stretching along the Atlantic Ocean. The region is known for its stunning coastline, with white sandy beaches, rocky cliffs, and picturesque fishing villages. The two major attractions on the Atlantic coast are Nazare and Peniche, world surfing class resorts, and we will see what they have to offer in this video.
Nazaré and Peniche are both located on the Atlantic coast and offer visitors stunning beaches, great surfing, and a rich cultural history.
Nazare is a charming fishing village that has become famous for its massive waves, which are some of the largest in the world. Visitors can watch surfers tackle the waves from the Praia do Norte viewpoint or take a stroll along the town's beautiful waterfront promenade, which is filled with excellent restaurants and cafes.
Nazare is also home to a range of cultural attractions, including the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Nazaré, a beautiful church that is an important pilgrimage site for Catholics.
Peniche is another popular coastal town that is famous for its excellent surfing conditions. Visitors can take a surf lesson, rent a board, or watch the experts tackle the waves from the town's beautiful beaches.
Peniche is also home to a range of cultural attractions, including the Peniche Fortress, a 16th-century fort that is now a museum and cultural center, and the Berlenga Islands, a stunning nature reserve that can be reached by boat from the town's harbor.

BERLENGA ISLAND DAY TRIP FROM PENICHE PORTUGAL
We spent the day hiking around Berlenga Island on a day trip from Peniche, Portugal. We took a boat ride there and had four hours to explore the island. We explored both sides of the island and the fort. This was one of my favorite things to do in Portugal.

NAZARE PORTUGAL ???????? MORE THAN JUST BIG WAVES (coolest place we visited in Portugal!)
Welcome to the big wave capital of the world! Nazare Portugal is one of the coolest places we've ever visited and we plan to go back many times. Yes, it is that good!!!
We're not surfers, but it is still incredible to see them go after these massive waves! We went to see them every single day and could have easily spent the whole day watching them try, fall, try, surf, and then do it all over again. It was pretty inspiring actually. But there's so much more to Nazare... as you will see in today's video.
If you ever have the chance to visit Nazare, do not hesitate to do it. Also, can't believe our Portugal travel series is almost coming to an end :'(

Popular for its long, fabulous town beach, nearby surf strands and also as a jumping-off point for the beautiful Ilhas Berlengas nature reserve, Peniche is spectacularly set on a headland surrounded by sea. It remains a working port, giving it a slightly grittier, more ‘lived in’ feel than its resort neighbours. The seaside fort where Salazar’s regime detained political prisoners is a must-see for anyone interested in Portuguese history; artisan lovers will enjoy Peniche's speciality, handmade lace known as Renda de Bilros (bobbin lace), and you can watch the nimble fingers of women at work; and outdoors enthusiasts will love the beaches and the spectacular, heavily eroded limestone cliffs that jut out from the tip of the headland at Cabo Carvoeiro like a jagged jigsaw piece timelessly waiting for a never-to-come unification.

Hello guys again!
Today we are visiting Silver Coast and one of it's cities - Peniche???????? I think this place is real gem of Portugal. Stay tuned and here is little info about the place:
Peniche is a Portuguese city in the district of Leiria, located in the province of Estremadura with 13,212 inhabitants and Peniche is also municipality with an area of 77.55 km² and 26,431 inhabitants. The municipality borders to the east with Óbidos to the south by Lourinhã and to the west and north by Atlantic Ocean. From Lisbon about 1 hour ride - toll roads, and about 2 hours toll free roads(100km).
Peniche is westernmost city in Continental Europe and part of it is located on a peninsula.
The westernmost point of the Peniche is Cabo Carvoeiro and to the west of Cabo Carvoeiro there are Berlengas islands.
I will go there next week. For me it is really interesting to see these islands, but you know before that I need confirmation for drone.
The municipality of Peniche has a long and rich history. In here lived people whos main activity type was fishing and agriculture.
In the surrounding areas of the municipality, the cultivation of the land predominated. The soil of the outlying villages is particularly fertile, while on the peninsula it is sandy and not very good for the cultivation of vegetables, although it allowed the planting of certain fruit trees, in particular fig trees, which produced small sweet figs. On the south coast, near Cabo Carvoeiro, there were small farms with stone walls where white grape vines were grown, from which an excellent wine was extracted. Before heading to the beach, you must visit Peniche historic centre. Really quite and relaxing feeling. Some restaurants, not crazy lot, but you will not stay hungry and it’s only natural that the sea dominates the local cuisine, so we are looking for charcoal-grilled sardines and always accompanied by the Western region’s wines.
Also in center you will see fort and Marina Peniche.
The sea is still one of the main points of interest, and the beaches at Peniche are much appreciated. Lot of beautiful and long beaches for long walks, sunsets and swimming.

So you want to move here, I checked online about real estate, actually quite affordable.
I applied my standart filters 2-3 bedroms, 1-2 bathrooms new or good condition. So average price came up at 2100€ per square meter and its a good price for prices in Portugal today.
