______________
In this video I explore Sicily, Italy. I visit towns in the South East region of Sicily, including Catania, Noto, Syracuse and Ortigia. Sicily is a fascinating island in the South of Italy, with a rich mix of culture, history, food and the friendliest locals in Italy! I explore the bustling fish market in Catania, as well as try some popular Catanese dishes like pasta alla norma and eggplant caponata, I also feel adventurous enough to try the Catania specialty, horse meat burgers! I then visit the beautiful region of Noto and do some wine tasting of the famous nero d'avola red wine at a beautiful vineyard. Noto is a beautiful town known for it's sandstone cathedrals. I also visit the seaside town of Syracuse and Ortigia which have some incredible ancient Greek sites like the archeological park of Syracuse.

A HUGE thank you to Renato for such a fun tour of Catania, I highly recommend his tour. Here is the link:

How Traditional Italian Olive Oil Is Made | Regional Eats

We visited an olive oil mill in Italy in the southern region of Puglia, a region that alone supplies 40% of Italy's olive oil production and 12% worldwide. Olive oil is an essential part of the culture here, from food to the picturesque landscape.

Sicily Travel Vlog: Touring Mt. Etna Vineyards, Wineries & Historic Town Castiglione di Sicilia!

Join me for an exciting day trip from Taormina, which is located in Sicily, Italy! I booked a tour with Etna People to visit the historic town of Castiglione di Sicilia, which felt like we were stepping back in time and enjoyed epic views. Next, we visited to Cantine Patria, a winery where we learned about the wine making process and samples several great wines.

After, we visited a beautiful vineyard, Torre Mora, where we enjoyed lunch and wine in a historic stone farmhouse and toured the vineyard grounds, learning more about the wine making process. The video finishes with aperitivo and a lovely dinner back in Taormina.
*Note: I paid for the tour myself, this video is not sponsored

Video: Italian Thermal Baths - What I Would Do Differently Next Time

Susafa, Palermo Countryside

A gorgeous rural retreat housed in an ancient farmhouse in the village of Polizzi Generosa, part of Sicily’s beautiful Madonie natural park. Its impressively peaceful location, bucolic views and scrumptious food make it the perfect destination for a countryside escape.

Susafa is a chic but laid-back resort set amidst the wonderful scenery of the Madonie natural park, where everything revolves around the rhythms of nature and rural life. The property is run by brothers Matteo and Manfredi, the fifth generation of a family of agricultural entrepreneurs who converted this ancient honey-stone farmhouse into an atmospheric country retreat.

A great sense of space and peacefulness pervades the entire property, which retains elements of its glorious past as a thriving working farm, like the impressive storerooms and the old ovens where bread was once baked.

Quiet seating areas are hidden all over the place and there’s a large terrace with undisturbed views of the extraordinary scenery. The glorious pool in the garden is another great spot to enjoy the splendid country setting, surrounded by comfy loungers, verdant plants, and miles of golden fields.

The Susafa team offers a wide range of activities to experience first-hand the magic of this territory, from cherry harvest to delightful picnics in the countryside and fabulous cooking classes focusing on Sicilian delicacies like cannoli and the Palermitan ‘Sfincione’. Guests can also take part in yoga and pilates classes or treat themselves to a rejuvenating massage.
