Hola mis amigos. este es un mapa de michoacan hermoso. El estado está ubicado en el centro occidente de la República Mexicana, en el extremo suroeste de la sierra central. Limita con los estados de México, Querétaro, Guerrero, Guanajuato, Jalisco y Colima, con una costa de 217 kilómetros sobre el Océano Pacífico. El estado tiene un territorio de 58,836.95 kilómetros cuadrados, lo que lo convierte en el decimosexto más grande de México. También cuenta con 1.490 kilómetros cuadrados de territorio marino frente a su costa del Pacífico. que pueblo conoces en michoacan? por favor comenta. continuo..
El estado es atravesado por la Sierra Madre del Sur, la Faja Volcánica Transmexicana y la región de los Valles Intermontañosos. La Sierra Madre del Sur atraviesa el estado de noroeste a sureste por aproximadamente 200 kilómetros en el suroeste entre los municipios de Chinicuila y Arteaga a lo largo de la costa del Pacífico. Se considera una continuación de la Sierra Madre Occidental. Los picos en este rango promedian alrededor de 2.900 metros sobre el nivel del mar, siendo el más grande el Cerro de las Canoas. La Faja Volcánica Transmexicana cruza el estado de oeste a este hacia el Valle de Toluca y el Valle de México. Esta cadena montañosa está marcada por la aparición de muchos volcanes, activos, inactivos y extintos por igual. Este sistema se subdivide en regiones como la Sierra de Tancítaro, Sierra de Peribán, Sierra de San Ángel y otras. El volcán más conocido de esta región es el volcán Paricutín.
El estado cuenta con una gran cantidad de lagos, cascadas, lagunas, aguas termales y un sistema natural de cursos de agua, que incluye partes de dos de los ríos más grandes del país, el Lerma y el Balsas. Estos cursos de agua se dividen en tres regiones, llamadas Norte, Centro y Sur. La región Norte incluye la Cuenca de Lerma. Sobre el río Lerma se encuentra la Presa Tepuxtepec que tiene una capacidad de 371 millones de m3. Los ríos que desembocan en el Lerma en Michoacán incluyen el Tlalpuhahua, Cachivi y Duero. Otra cuenca fluvial aquí es la del lago de Cuitzeo, que se extiende sobre una superficie de 3.618 metros cuadrados. Los dos ríos principales que alimentan este lago son el Grande de Morelia y Queréndaro.
La región Centro está representada por los lagos de Pátzcuaro y Zirahuén. El lago de Pátzcuaro tiene una superficie de 1.525 km2. Este lago es alimentado por una serie de corrientes de agua superficiales y subterráneas con los principales ríos que conducen aquí, incluidos San Gregorio y Chapultepec. Este lago tiene en su interior cinco islas llamadas Janitzio, Yunuén, La Pacanda, Tecuén, Jarácuaro, Urandén y Carián. El lago Zirahuén tiene una superficie de 615 kilómetros cuadrados y es alimentado por arroyos como Manzanilla y Zinamba. Estos dos lagos se consideran la principal atracción turística del estado.
La mayoría de los ríos y arroyos del estado se encuentran en la región sur del estado, siendo el río Balsas el más importante. Los afluentes más importantes de este río incluyen los ríos Cutzamala, Carácuaro y Tepalcatepec. Dentro de esta región se encuentra la cuenca costera, que es el área entre la Sierra Madre del Sur y la costa. Esta área incluye pequeños ríos como el Coahuayana, Aquila, Ostula, Motín del Oro, Coire, Cachán y Nexpa que desembocan directamente en el Pacífico. Ride Day 19: Guadalajara to Mexico City, Mexico
Full Post: After one night only in Guadalajara, I set my day to ride the 340 miles (547 Kilometres) to Mexico City on Ruta 60 for most of the way. This journey included a lot of toll roads and on my way from the Pacific on the West Coast of Mexico to the Gulf of Mexico on the east coast.
Again I had the great pleasure of meeting some interesting people including a few Mexicans riding around their country on adventure bikes. The people I have met throughout Mexico have been fantastic and always willing to help with directions, and nice adventure roads and these guys were no exceptions.
And the food, seriously, I was never a big fan of tacos until I got into Mexico. The locals just know how to make amazing street food, cheap, filling and delicious!
I will be sad to leave Mexico, as it has just so much to offer the adventure rider and there are just too many places to visit. It seemed every single town had a unique vibe and some of the bui8kldings, especially the old churches just reminded me so much of some of the old western movies I had watched as a kid. Gosh I love Mexico.
Mexico City
Mexico City is huge; you just cannot appreciate the scale of the place unless you drive into it. From the It is also one of the highest elevation capitals in the world at 3,930 m (12,890 ft). I visited the slums during the day and also was in the city during the Day of the Dead Festival with colorful street art seemingly for miles.
I spent a day riding the city going from the slums to the gorgeous tree-lined streets of the inner city suburbs.
I also took the time to get my bike serviced there and the guys at KTM Mexico City were fantastic and looked after my bike and all its gear wonderfully. They have a modern showroom and workshop, really impressive!
Mexico City has something for everyone. Yes, the traffic is a nightmare at times and can be confusing as Google Maps isn't perfect there (some one-way streets not noticed), but it was good enough to get me out and about and back home safely.
Today's journey took me from Guadalajara through Tonalá, La Barca, Churintzio, Panindícuaro, Huaniqueo de Morales, Arúmbaro, Valle de Juárez, Maravatío de Ocampo, Estación Tultenango, Atlacomulco, Ixtlahuaca de Rayón, Huixquilucan de Degollado and onto my final destination for a few days to Mexico City, Mexico

Cycle Mexico from Guadalajara to Tula
Cycle Touring Mexico - Guadalajara to Tula Finally, we are cycling out of Guadalajara and towards Tula. Along the way we cycle on more back roads, but still use the toll (D roads) when we need to. As we cycle through Mexico's Central Highlands region we will work our way to Tula. In Tula we plan on visiting the Mesoamerican archeological site which at one time was an important regional center of the area and reached its peak of importance during the Toltec Empire.
Food/Water: Plenty of places all along the highway and in the towns, so no issues there.
