We stayed in San Ignacio, Placencia, and Caye Caulker. We also crossed the border to Guatemala to check out Tikal National Park. ABOUT PLACENCIA VILLAGE BEACH:
If you are visiting Placencia, Belize and looking to hit the beach, make sure to visit Placencia Village which has approximately 2 miles of the best beaches, and thus swimming grounds, on the 17 mile long Placencia Peninsula.
While in the village, you also have the convenience of hanging out at popular beach front restaurants and bars, making it a great opportunity to get your toes in the sand, swim in the Caribbean sea, eat great food, enjoy tasty drinks, and mingle with locals and other travelers from all over the world.

We'll have a tour of the campus which includes a visit to the Museum Popol Vuh, filled with Mayan and Spanish artifacts; and we'll see the reading room at the Ludwig Von Mises library, which is filled with important historical artifacts.
We'll visit Caoba Farms in Antigua and have a private tour of Casa Popenoe, once owned by American businessman Wilson Popenoe, who was a leader in the agricultural industry and a legend in Central America. He restored the home -- from the ruins -- in the early 1900s.
