A scenic road journey through Oxie and Svedala, Sweden
A coach trip through the Swedish countryside from Malmö to Svedala with a stop in Oxie.
I've tried to detail the route taken, for anyone wanting to follow it on a map or Google Earth.
I was working on a machine at a factory in Svedala for several weeks during 2021, staying near the Malmo Arena and commuting on the train. One weekend the tracks were closed for maintenance and a coach service was running instead.
That resulted in two rather more sedate and scenic journeys, which I filmed through the window.
There is not much to see from the normal train - and that cruises at 160 kph, so not much time to see anything anyway!
The train on that route stops in the town of Oxie, so the replacement service did as well - resulting in a complete loop from the leaving E65 motorway, around the town and getting back on to the E65 at the same junction we left, and giving some good views of the local Swedish architecture.
It was unfortunately raining just before this video starts and the window took a while to dry out enough to get good results; the first part leaving Malmö was unusable due to the focus jumping about.
The other video I'm posting has the return journey with the views to the opposite side of the roads and in rather nicer and brighter weather.
ps. If you are wondering what the Technology connection is - I was programming a Siemens PLC & HMI system for a customer, and that required travel :)

The train on that route stops in the town of Oxie, so the replacement service did as well - this time taking a very different route back in to Malmö than via the E65, as it did on the way out of Malmö that morning.
The other video I'm posting has most of the journey to Svedala, early that morning.

Destination:
Malmo Central Station, first opened in 1856, is the city's major railway station. Beautiful Malmo canals surround it as it stands on the Southern Main Line. Aside from the station's surroundings, the Malmo Central building is one of the city's most notable structures, and the Malmo station was awarded the Brunel Award for its unique architecture in 2011.
Malmo Central Train Station, one of the most well-known transit stations, handles around 17 million people per year. It also connects a number of local cities as well as adjacent nations. It offers a train route from Malmo to Copenhagen, for example, via the new City Tunnel. It is, without a doubt, a modern rail station with all of the necessary amenities, such as an ATM, storage lockers, and lost property.

Svågertorp station, Malmö
Filmen visar stationen Svågertorp i Malmö. Filmen visar några tåg, stationen samt lite av stationens omgivningar. Dessutom några elbussar.
Stationen öppnade år 2000, när Öresundsbron öppnade. Alla tåg till/från Danmark gick den här vägen tills Citytunneln öppnade 2010. Då var det bl.a. SJs Intercitytåg och Veolia Transports tåg som stannade vid stationen. 2010 stängdes stationen tillfälligt.
Från 2011 började Pågatågen Malmö-Ystad-Simrishamn stanna vid stationen, när dessa tåg började köra via Citybanan. Från slutet av 2015 började istället tågen Malmö-Trelleborg stanna vid stationen. Från slutet av 2018 stannade också tågen på den då nyöppnade Malmöringen (Malmö C-Östervärn-Rosengård-Persborg-Svågertorp-Hyllie-Triangeln-Malmö C).
Notera att stationen har högertrafik, då Danmark har det. Växlingen mellan höger och vänstertrafik sker i norra Malmö.
