Bikepacking Czech Republic - DAY 13 - Brno to Otrokovice
On our 13th day of Bikepacking across the Czech Republic, we leave Brno by train to Strážnice. In Strážnice and Uherský Ostroh we visit a traditional folklore clothing producers. Visit the country's second largest church, the Velehrad Basilica before arriving to our end destination of Otrokovice. Here we would visit Europe's largest private Harley Davidson collection.

On our 14th and final day of Bikepacking across the Czech Republic, we leave Otrokovice and ride to Zlín to visit the famous Bat'a Company Head Quarters and an interesting office inside an elevator. Then we grab a transfer to visit try on hats in Nový Jičín and eat ears in Štramberk, before arriving in Příbor to ride to our endpoint of Ostrava.

Ostrava, Czech Republic - TBEX Jeseniky Mountains PRE-BEX Tour and Opening Night Party
I finally made it to Ostrava. It was a long train ride, but I met up with Jon and Dave at the Prague train station. We got a snack once we arrived at the Ostrava station, then took the tram to our hotel right next to the TBEX conference center.
That night we walked around town a little, met up with some friends and hung out. The next morning was my first Pre-Bex tour of the Jeseniky Mountains with the Moravian-Silesian Region Tourism Board. We had a long drive to Mt. Praded, hiked for about an hour uphill, went up in the tower and saw the great views. Then rode the scooters all the way down, plus further down the road through traffic. It was pretty cool, they get going pretty fast, gotta keep on the brake or it gets a little scary.
Then we had a nice lunch, went to the Slezska Harta dam and I flew the drone a little bit. Some went for a short boat ride, Skye jumped in the water, then we drove back to Ostrava and got ready for the opening night party.
The party was right across the street from our hotel, so convenient. It was at an old factory, we got to go up Bolt Tower and see the views at night. Pretty cool, you take an elevator up, but have to walk down, which was a bit scary for Elena. That's the end of this video but there's much more Ostrava to come!

Today is the first day of 14 days of riding a bikepacking trip across the Czech Republic. Come with me as we see some awesome attractions, try some delicious food/drinks as well as learn much about the Czech culture from locals. On this day we will be biking from Františkovy Lázně (Franzensbad) to Ostroh (Seeberg Castle) on EuroVelo 13, then through the Komorní hůrka volcano to Cheb.
