Hungary (Hungarian: Magyarország) is a landlocked country in Central Europe. Spanning 93,030 square kilometres (35,920 sq mi) of the Carpathian Basin, it is bordered by Slovakia to the north, Ukraine to the northeast, Romania to the east and southeast, Serbia to the south, Croatia and Slovenia to the southwest, and Austria to the west. Hungary has a population of 10 million, mostly ethnic Hungarians and a significant Romani minority. Hungarian, the official language, is the world's most widely spoken Uralic language, and among the few non-Indo-European languages widely spoken in Europe. Budapest is the country's capital and largest city; other major urban areas include Debrecen, Szeged, Miskolc, Pécs, and Győr.

The territory of present-day Hungary has for centuries been a crossroads for various peoples, including Celts, Romans, Germanic tribes, Huns, West Slavs and the Avars. The foundations of the Hungarian state were established in the late ninth century AD with the conquest of the Carpathian Basin by Hungarian grand prince Árpád. His great-grandson Stephen I ascended the throne in 1000, converting his realm to a Christian kingdom. By the 12th century, Hungary became a regional power, reaching its cultural and political height in the 15th century. Following the Battle of Mohács in 1526, it was partially occupied by the Ottoman Empire (1541–1699). Hungary came under Habsburg rule at the turn of the 18th century, later joining with the Austrian Empire to form Austria-Hungary, a major power into the early 20th century.

Austria-Hungary collapsed after World War I, and the subsequent Treaty of Trianon established Hungary's current borders, resulting in the loss of 71% of its territory, 58% of its population, and 32% of ethnic Hungarians. Postwar Hungary became a satellite state of the Soviet Union, leading to the establishment of the Hungarian People's Republic. The removal of Hungary's border fence with Austria accelerated the collapse of the Eastern Bloc, and subsequently the Soviet Union. On 23 October 1989, Hungary became a democratic parliamentary republic. Hungary joined the European Union in 2004 and has been part of the Schengen Area since 2007.

Drive to Lake Balaton | Town of Siofok | Driving in Hungary and beach

***at the time of upload, i'm 9 subscribers away from getting my own URL. Please subscribe :)***

This video starts by the time i exited the freeway/highway int he town of Siofok, Hungary. We parked our car and walked to the Lake balaton. The kids had a ton of fun here. I had the chance to fly my drone for the first time in Hungary. I wasn't comfortable flying it in Budapest for various reasons.

Lake Balaton is a popular destination for Hungarians and tourists alike.

Shot from my drone:

Szarvas City - Nature Reserve - Arboretum - Hungary - 4K

Szarvas is located in the Great Hungarian Plain upon the Körös River, 170 km (106 mi) southeast from Budapest. Highways 44 and 443, and the Mezőtúr-Orosháza-Mezőhegyes railway line also cross the town. The geographic centre of Hungary was near Szarvas before the Treaty of Trianon; a memorial in a windmill shape now marks that location in a park on a bank of the Körös River across from the Arboretum.

Driving in Hungary: City of Győr - loop around the center *Belváros*

(I included some shots from the pedestrian zone at the end of the video)
Győr, the main city of northwest Hungary, the capital of Győr-Moson-Sopron County and Western Transdanubia region, and – halfway between Budapest and Vienna – situated on one of the important roads of Central Europe. It is the sixth largest city in Hungary, and one of its seven main regional centres. The city has county rights (Wikipedia)

4k Day-Trip Tour Hódmezővásárhely Hungary Europe

Hódmezővásárhely is a city in southeast Hungary, on the Great Hungarian Plain. The modern picture of the town was established at the turn of the century. These decades were characterised by the construction of wells, dynamic building operations, and the construction of canals. 70 per cent of the population, however, was engaged in farming and animal breeding.

Hódmezővásárhely’s natural treasure from a tourism point of view is, in addition to the Tisza landscape, the rich thermal water resources that feed the local beach baths and attract many guests every summer. With the largest administrative area in the country, the city of county law can become a significant educational, economic and artistic centre of the South Great Plain region, a city with an intimate atmosphere and a unique character, building on the local landscape and its diverse cultural traditions.

Tata is attractive in all seasons but it is most exciting in summer when colorful festivals, outdoor concerts and acknowledged sports events take place in the town. Boasting a variety of comfortable hotels, campsites, restaurants and cafés, Tata ensures a warm welcome for all visitors.

A kiírás nyugdíjas pároknak szól.

Budapest, Hungary ???????? - Winter 2022 - 4K HDR Walking Tour (▶81 min)

Budapest is a city of contrasts. New meets old in the Hungarian capital as the city’s communist-era remnants rub elbows with more modern structures built post “Iron Curtain”. As a travel destination, Budapest is still a city that remains cheap for tourists. While Prague and Dubrovnik have become popular getaways with escalating prices, Budapest has remained a city in which travelers can enjoy food, drinks, and a night out for a relatively reasonable price.
