Switzerland is a small country full of surprises and wonderful villages. Since decades, Switzerland has been attracting numerous tourists from allover the world. It is the Alps that fascinates most of the visitors but also the very well preserved villages. Although Switzerland is quite small, depending on the region, the villages and towns may look very different. In this video, the 10 most beautiful villages from allover the country will be presented in detail. While there may be a few that you might have heard of, there will be quite some surprises. Gruyères is THE place to experience the medieval vibes in Switzerland. The castle, the museums and furthermore the foodie world of Gruyères are really exciting to experience, do not forget to try fondue, Gruyère cheese and double cream! Zermatt is the most popular village on this list. Visit the many panoramas over the Swiss Alps, see the Matterhorn or simply explore the village of Zermatt itself! Discover the many beautiful traditional wooden houses scattered around this Swiss village! Visit what used to be the smallest municipality of Switzerland: Corippo. Corippo is located in the Valle Verzasca in Ticino. It's a wonderful village full of stone houses and very interesting: ONLY 12 people live in there! Surely, it's not crowded there. Saint-Ursanne is another medieval village; the town that could be in a fairytale. Saint-Ursanne is built along the river doubs and charms with its many medieval houses and wonderful abbey. Guarda - the town of Schellenursli - in the lower Engadin is located in the Rumantsch speaking region of Switzerland. It's far away the urban centres and very quiet. Best to visit during Summer or on Chalandamarz! Grimentz is THE stereotypical village of Switzerland. It's located up in the Swiss Alps and charms with its many traditional wooden houses. The houses are all decorated with red flowers; cheesy and alluring! Lauterbrunnen is another touristy favorite. The village is small but it's located in the Valley of 72 Waterfalls! Enjoy the scenery with its many waterfalls and greens! Do not forget to go up to Wengen and the Jungfraujoch! Epesses is located in Switzerland's wine region at lake Geneva! It's a wonderful village in the middle of the vineyards and definitely offers you enough viewpoints over the wine terraces, lake Geneva and the Swiss Alps. Stein am Rhein is also a very medieval and cultural village. The old town is perfectly preserved and charms with its many painted houses. Spectacular is the No e Wili play that is held on a 10-25 years base. Enjoy swimming in the river Rhine or dining at the Castle Hohenklingen. MORCOTE is the most beautiful Swiss village on this Top 10 list! It's located at Lake Lugano and charms with its appearance of being built at the hill. Stunning is the church Maria del Sasso, the wonder garden in the Parco Scherrer and furthermore the many viewpoints on the hill. Morcote is by the way considered not very touristy. About Olten
Olten is a town in the canton of Solothurn in Switzerland and capital of the district of the same name.
Olten's railway station is within 30 minutes of Zürich, Basel, Bern, and Lucerne by train, and is a rail hub of Switzerland.
Olten lies at the junction of the north-south Basel-Chiasso and east-west Geneva-St.Gallen railway lines. Moreover, a national Autobahn junction is also in the immediate vicinity. The central location of Olten in Solothurn canton is legendary, and the Olten railway buffet is a popular meeting point since it is equally close for all Swiss. Its good accessibility already made the town a popular location early on for trade and industry.
The town has numerous hotels and restaurants with a sought-after infrastructure for meetings. Benefiting from having been well maintained is the historic core of the old town. Especially popular are the car-free pedestrian zones with very interesting buildings and attractive shopping possibilities, along with an active music and extraordinarily varied cabaret scene.
When undertaking a tour through the old town, a visit to Olten’s museums, the nature museum, art museum, historical museum and home of the cantonal archaeological museum and «Wertpapierwelt», the historical museum of shares and bonds, is well worthwhile. Finally, on travelling around Olten, visitors will encounter a multitude of interesting fortresses, ruins, castles, churches and chapels.

Olten Switzerland 4K Beautiful Old Town
Olten is a large city in Switzerland and has a beautiful old town. Olten lies on the Aare river and is the largest town in the canton of Solothurn.
The city is an important railway junction in Switzerland and a railway town between the major cities of Zurich, Basel and Bern.
Olten was already an important settlement in Roman times with a bridge over the Aare. The old wooden bridge was first mentioned in 1295 and was damaged several times over the course of time by fires and floods.
Olten's town tower is the town's landmark and reaches a height of 42 metres and used to be a church tower. After the demolition of the dilapidated church in 1844, the tower was left standing. After the demolition of the church in 1844, which had become dilapidated over time, the tower was left standing.

Olten – a charming small Swiss town
The delightful town of Olten lies on the banks of the River Aare, and a little to the south of the Jura Mountains. It is a great place to visit by train, being only 30 minutes from Zurich, Bern, Basel and Lucerne. My film shows the pedestrianised streets of the old part, which forms the centre of the town, with its attractive shops by day and lively nightlife by night. Many of the old-style Swiss buildings like the Rathskeller are occupied by hotels, bars and restaurants – for this is a town that attracts a lot of conferences. The film shows some of the peaceful squares and interesting churches, towers and fortresses to be explored, along with the fascinating roofed-in wooden foot bridge. The jolly background music just emphasises how pleasant it is to live in these small traditional Swiss towns.
