Santorini Walking Tour, Oia - The Best Sights
Oia Santorini Walking Tour. Walking through Oia, Santorini’s most picturesque town with some of the island’s best hotels. It’s located at the northern tip of the island and is famous for its fabulous sunset views. For more detailed info visit
The town is busy through the day up until sunset (when it’s packed in high season) but then gets quiet quickly after the sun sets. There’s lots of high-end shopping and many restaurants. The southern part of Oia looks into the caldera. The northern part does not have views of the caldera but does have perfect sunset views. The walk from Oia to Fira is beautiful but takes several hours so for the most part, Oia is a taxi or bus ride away from the hub of the island.

Pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela | 280 km in 10 days (Camino Portugués - Coastal route)
I decided to do a Camino from Porto to Santiago de Compostela. The physical and mental challenge, that was my motive to do the Camino. No smartphone, a map and a lot of human interaction. The experience was ultimately much greater than my initial motive. It all came down to human connection. The people I've met, the motives I've heard and the lessons I've learned. Connecting with people and their stories is extremely powerful and educational. My biggest takeaways: preparation and reflection are key, help each other and put things into perspective. I would recommend it to everyone!

The BEAUTIFUL Island of SANTORINI ???????? and the MUST VISIT Oia 2022
The Beautiful Island of Santorini Greece is home to one of the most picturesque locations, Oia! Join us as we explore the gorgeous town of Oia, roam the winding streets lined with beautiful buildings, and take in the amazing views of the Caldera. The white buildings topped with blue-domed roofs, set against the bright blue sky make for a romantic getaway you will not soon forget.
There are many ways to get to Oia, on this day it was an easy bus ride from the station in Fira. Soon after we arrived, we were adopted by an adorable guide dog who chose us to spend the day and explore the town with.
Like so many, we couldn't help but fall in love with this little town and decided to return the next day. Only this time, we did the hike between Fira and Oia. This is a 6.5-mile walk that takes you through the town of Imerovigli, giving you some of the most breathtaking views over the Santorini coastline and Caldera. The trail itself is a fairly easy hike/walk taking you along paved streets and gravel paths. When you are along the cliffside, you will want to stop to just enjoy the wonderful view. But then you will continue on a path that soon leads you right into the town of Oia. The walk will take you about 2 1/2 to 3 hours, depending of course how many times you stop to take photos of the amazing views! Of course, as we got into Oia we ended our trek with a well-deserved refreshing beverage to rehydrate. Enjoy!
