Walking in Nykoebing Falster, Denmark: From Vestensborg Gade to Raadhusstræde
Hi everyone on Youtube, I am in Denmark these days, and I am going to make a series of videos about a few different cities in the country. I have family members and friends who live in this Scandinavian country. I would like to welcome my viewers in the United States, Denmark and around the world, my name is Roderick Balenda; I enjoy exploring different countries. Right now, I am in Nykoebing Falster, also spelled Nykøbing Falster, a city with 19,300 inhabitants. The city lies on Falster, connected to a 295 meter Frederik 9th Bridge over the Guldborgsund, or the Guldborg Straight waterway to the other island of Lolland. Nykøbing Falster is the largest city on the islands of Lolland and Falster. I am going to make a series of videos about this city and some other cities in Denmark and other countries.

Tamina Kallert entdeckt die südlichste Insel Dänemarks – Lolland. In den lebendigen Handelsstädten Nakskov und Nykøbing-Falster findet Tamina Kallert Kirchen in Backsteingotik, Fachwerkhäuser aus dem 16. bis 18. Jahrhundert – und dänische Gemütlichkeit. Sie steht ehrfürchtig vor den Dodekalitten, riesigen Granitskulpturen, und trifft in der Hafenstadt Nysted eine Berliner Künstlerin in ihrer international renommierten Galerie. In Maribo besucht sie einen preisgekrönten Bäcker und sieht zu, wie das bei den Dänen beliebte Roggenbrot gebacken wird: die Grundlage für das berühmte Smørrebrød. Von Kragenæs aus fährt Tamina Kallert mit der Fähre auf die kleine Obstinsel Fejø und bekommt zwischen Hunderten von Apfelbäumen ein bisschen ein Heile-Welt-Gefühl.

Walking street Strøget is a pedestrian, car free shopping area in Copenhagen, Denmark. This popular tourist attraction in the centre of town is one of the longest pedestrian shopping streets in Europe at 1.1 km. Located at the centre of the old city of Copenhagen, it has long been one of the most high-profile walking street in the city.
The main street is bound on the west by City Hall Square (Danish: Rådhuspladsen) the central town square by Copenhagen City Hall, and on the east by Kongens Nytorv (The King's New Square), another large square at the other end. But the Strøget area is actually a collection of streets that spread out from this central thoroughfare. Components of the pedestrianised network are:

2- Gammel Torv / Nytorv
3-Nygade
4-Vimmelskaftet
5-Fiolstræde
6-Jorcks Passage
7-Købmagergade (connects to Nørreport Station via Kultorvet)
8-Amagertorv
9-Østergade
About 80,000 people use Strøget every day at the height of tourist season in summer, and about 48,000 do so on a winter's day. On the last Sunday before Christmas as many as 120,000 may use Strøget. Jan Gehl believes that Strøget is now roughly at its handling capacity on a summer's day, given its width at 10–12 metres and space for roughly 145 people/minute.

Slut med tog ombord på færger i Danmark
Søndag den 15. december 2019 trådte en ny køreplan i kraft, K20. Og den største forandring i denne køreplan er, at alle internationale tog mellem København og Hamburg nu kører via Fyn og Jylland i stedet for via overfarten mellem Rødby og Puttgarden. Dermed er det så slut med tog ombord på færger i Danmark. Lige siden den 14. maj 1963, hvor færgeforbindelsen åbnede som en del Fugleflugtslinjen, har der været rangering af tog ombord på færgene i Rødby og Puttgarden.
Netop pga de store sporarbejder der kommer til at ligge i forbindelse med Femern forbindelsen gør, at det er mere besværligt at køre denne vej til Hamburg. Både i Tyskland og i Danmark bliver banerne lukket i flere omgange og erstattes af togbusser i lange perioder, og derfor vælger DSB at køre togene via Storebælt, så passagerne slipper for besværget. Og fordi togene nu kun standser i Ringsted, Odense, Kolding og Padborg, så er rejsetiden blevet en smule kortere ved at køre denne omvej. Først når Femern tunnelen er færdig engang i fremtiden, kommer togene tilbage til denne direkte rute, også kaldet fugleflugtslinjen. Dermed er det så slut med tog ombord på færger i Danmark.

Walking In Nykøbing Falster, Denmark: From Frederik IX Bridge To The Guldborgsund Center
Welcome to my viewers in the United States, and around the world, my name is Roderick Balenda; I am making a series of videos about cities from different countries. This time, I am in Denmark, making a series of videos about Nykøbing Falster, also spelled Nykobing Falster or Nykoebing F. I was walking from Frederik 9th Bridge, which was built in 1962. Under this bridge, there is a huge body of water; it is the Gulborgsund Straight or the Guldborgsund, which means the Guldborg Straight. Guldborg is a small town on the island of Falster, a few dozen kilometers from Nykobing F. The Guldborgsund Straight separates the islands of Lolland and Falster. The Guldborgsund Center is a place there are many shops and takeaways.
PS: Frederick IX (Christian Frederik Franz Michael Carl Valdemar Georg; 11 March 1899 – 14 January 1972) was King of Denmark from 1947 to 1972.
Born into the House of Glücksburg, Frederick was the elder son of King Christian X and Queen Alexandrine of Denmark. He became crown prince when his father succeeded as king in 1912. As a young man, he was educated at the Royal Danish Naval Academy. In 1935, he was married to Princess Ingrid of Sweden and they had three daughters, Margrethe, Benedikte and Anne-Marie. During Nazi Germany's occupation of Denmark, Frederick acted as regent on behalf of his father from 1942 until 1943. He was succeeded by his eldest daughter, Queen Margrethe II.[12] Queen Ingrid survived her husband by 28 years. She died on 7 November 2000. Her remains were interred alongside him at the burial site outside Roskilde Cathedral.
