El Vigilante Viajero nos lleva por un hermosos Tour por la #LagunadeAyarza y nos cuentan un poco de la historia de dicha laguna.
Los misterios de la #LagunaDeAyarza
Se cree que esta bella laguna fué creada hace alrededor de 20,000 años, sobre la caldera de un volcán extinto. Las personas que viven y trabajar en dicha laguna nos cuenta a cerca de las historias que se cuentan sobre el lugar.
Actualmente posee una superficie de área de 14 kilómetros cuadrados, así como una profundidad máxima de 230 metros. Además, no se conoce que tenga afluentes ni desagües.
Específicamente, se localiza en Casillas, #SantaRosa departamento de Guatemala, sirviendo como un ambiente ideal para la pesca y el buceo. Los peces más comunes en la laguna son las mojarras, carpas y tilapias, entre otros. Además, se pueden encontrar cangrejos y caracoles.
En un paredón cercano a las orillas de la laguna se encuentran rastros de arte rupestre, donde se cree que eran llevados a cabo rituales por sacerdotes mayas. Se conoce que la cultura que originalmente habitó el área fue el Imperio Xinca. De hecho, se han hallado distintos vestigios de cerámica antigua en el lugar y muchas cosas más.
