I bought this camper van in January 2011 having taken a very long time to choose what I wanted as well as needing a lot of time for something to become available. However I am very happy with it. Here I give some advice based on my experience and what people have told me about choosing a camper van. In other videos I will explain some other aspects of camper van life.
Here I present a journey in May 2012 from Warsaw in Poland to Eger in Hungary. As I travel I explain some of the things I see from the point of view of a British business person, economist, historian and camper van fan!

That is not to say that the other countries are forgotten, they are not, but obviously there is less going on. However the fact that there are so many travel related films here is not from holidays but from business trips attending trade fairs around the region. Every packaging trade fair is a new excuse to make another film!

Nowy Targ [ˈnɔvɨ ˈtark] (Officially: Royal Free city of Nowy Targ, Yiddish: Naymark, Goral Dialect: Miasto) is a town in southern Poland, in the Lesser Poland Voivodeship. It is located in the Orava-Nowy Targ Basin at the foot of the Gorce Mountains, at the confluence of the Czarny Dunajec and the Biały Dunajec. It is the seat of the Nowy Targ County and the rural Gmina Nowy Targ, as well as the Tatra Euroregion.
With 33,293[1] inhabitants, Nowy Targ is the largest town and the historic capital of Podhale, as well as its main commercial, communication and industrial center.
The town has the Podhale State Vocational University and the highest located airport in Poland.
Established before 1233, Nowy Targ received city rights on June 22, 1346 from King Casimir the Great. The historic architectural and urban complex of the town with a medieval market square has been preserved to this day.

Zakopane is a town in the extreme south of Poland, in the southern part of the Podhale region at the foot of the Tatra Mountains. From 1975 to 1998, it was part of Nowy Sącz Voivodeship; since 1999, it has been part of Lesser Poland Voivodeship. As of 2017 its population was 27,266. Zakopane is a centre of Goral culture and is often referred to as the winter capital of Poland”. It is a popular destination for mountaineering, skiing, and tourism.
Zakopane lies near Poland's border with Slovakia, in a valley between the Tatra Mountains and Gubałówka Hill. It can be reached by train or bus from the province capital, Kraków, about two hours away. Zakopane lies 800–1,000 metres above sea level and centres on the intersection of its Krupówki and Kościuszko Streets. The earliest documents mentioning Zakopane date to the 17th century, describing a glade called Zakopisko. In 1676 it was a village of 43 inhabitants. In 1818 Zakopane was a small town that was still being developed. There were only 340 homes that held 445 families. The population of Zakopane at that time was 1,805. 934 women and 871 men lived in Zakopane. The first church was built in 1847, by Józef Stolarczyk.
Zakopane became a center for the region's mining and metallurgy industries; by the 19th century, it was the largest center for metallurgy in the region of Galicia. It expanded during the 19th century as the climate attracted more inhabitants. By 1889 it had developed from a small village into a climatic health resort. Rail service to Zakopane began October 1, 1899. In the late 1800s Zakopane constructed a road that went to the town of Nowy Targ, and railways that came from Chabówka. Because of easier transportation the population of Zakopane had increased to about 3,000 people by the end of the 1800s. In the 19th century, Krupówki street was just a narrow beaten path that was meant for people to get from the central part of town to the village of Kuźnice.
The ski jump on Wielka Krokiew was opened in 1925. The cable car to Kasprowy Wierch was completed in 1936. The funicular connected Zakopane and the top of Gubałówka in 1938.
Zakopane – miasto w południowej Polsce, w województwie małopolskim, siedziba powiatu tatrzańskiego.
Największa miejscowość w bezpośrednim otoczeniu Tatr, duży ośrodek sportów zimowych, potocznie nazywany zimową stolicą Polski. W jego granicach administracyjnych znajduje się znaczna część Tatrzańskiego Parku Narodowego (od Doliny Suchej Wody do Doliny Małej Łąki).
Według danych GUS z 31 grudnia 2019 r. miasto liczyło 27 010 mieszkańców, będąc tym samym drugim pod względem ludności – po Nowym Targu – miastem Podhala. Zakopane położone jest na Pogórzu Spisko-Gubałowskim, w Rowie Podtatrzańskim oraz w Tatrach, nad kilkoma potokami, których wody ostatecznie wpadają do rzeki Zakopianka (dopływu Białego Dunajca). Jest najwyżej położonym miastem Polski. W granicach administracyjnych miasta znajduje się część Tatr (z najwyższym punktem jakim jest wierzchołek Świnicy – 2301 m n.p.m.). Pomijając tereny TPN, miasto leży na wysokości 750–1126 m n.p.m. (Gubałówka), a część właściwa – zabudowana, do około 900 m n.p.m. Centralny punkt Zakopanego – skrzyżowanie ul. Krupówki i Kościuszki – znajduje się na wysokości 838 m n.p.m. Na północy rozciąga się pasmo Gubałówki, a na południu nad miastem góruje Giewont.
Według danych z roku 2017 miasto zajmuje obszar 84,26 km² (w tym: użytki rolne – 31%, użytki leśne – 57%), stanowiąc 17,89% powierzchni powiatu.
Sąsiaduje z gminami: Bukowina Tatrzańska, Kościelisko, Poronin, a także ze Słowacją.
W latach 1975–1998 Zakopane administracyjnie należało do województwa nowosądeckiego.

Cycling in the Polish Mountains | Bike tour in Poland ep.1
This is the first episode of our bike tour through Poland during the Corona summer in 2020. When the restrictions were lifetd, we packed our stuff and hit the road again. It wasn't always easy as many places were still closed. But we made the best out of it. We started our trip from Halemba in Silesia. Walking in WROCLAW / Poland ????????- Old Town and Islands - 4K 60fps (UHD)
We walk in the beautiful city of Wroclaw in Poland - also known under the previous German name Breslau. Wrocław is the largest city in western Poland. With a large student population it features interesting architecture with a unique charm, making it one of Poland's prettiest destinations.
We start our tour at the Kryształowa Planeta statue just outside of the old town. We head via Zaułek Solny to the Solny square and then to the Old Town Square (Rynek). There we circle around and also see some inner streets behind the Old Town Hall.
Next we head up North to the University Square and soon are on some islands on the Oder Rriver that make Wroclaw special.
The first one is Tamka Island which isn't connected by bridges to the larger ones. We head to Słodowa and Wyspa islands where people hang out on this late summer day (August 2019).
The Ostrów Tumski island is the oldest part of Wroclaw and houses some impressive cathedrals. It is a major tourist destination in Wroclaw where we also spend a good 10 minutes walking around.
We leave via the Grunwald Bridge and head back to Old Town via plac Nowy Targ and good old Rynek. by now it's dark so we arrived at the St Elizabeth's Church, where we end this summer walking tour in Wroclaw.
