Australia's top 10 peaks are located within a short distance from each other, this 3 night 4 day almost 60 kms circuit in the Kosciuszko National Park high alpine area beginning & ending in Charlotte Pass using the Main Range track in an anticlockwise direction crossing the Snowy River to Blue Lake & climb Mt Twynam 2196 mts 3 rd highest peak then camp at 2050 mts just below the summit of Carruthers Peak with Club Lake below. 2 nd day with better weather climb Carruthers Peak 2145 mts equal ninth peak, Mt Lee 2100 mts then as skies clear climb Mt Northcote 2131 mts 11th highest with fantastic views of Lake Albina down below then onto Wilkinson Valley to set up camp for days 2 & 3 & in the late afternoon climb Muellers Peak 2129 mts 12 th highest. Day 3 with day packs do a circuit & climb Alice Rawson Peak 2160 mts 7 th highest & it gives us a view of Lake Albina from the opposite ridge that we climbed yesterday then onto Mr Townsend 2209 mts Australia's 2nd highest peak. Abbotts Peak 2159 mts & Mt Du Fur 2159 mts both equal 9th highest round the list & descend down to Wilkinson Valley to complete the circuit. Day 4 climb Mt Kosciuszko 2228 mts Australia's highest peak then to Etheridge Ridge 2180 mts 5th highest follow the metal grate path towards Thredbo & the RamsHead Range to climb first North Rams Head 2177 mts 6 th highest then onto Rams Head 2190 mts 4th highest & then follow the path back to Seaman's Hut cross the Snowy River
& return to Charlotte Pass.

Northcote STN is the latest cafe to hit the cafe strip of High Street, Northcote. In the few weeks it's been open, the London inspired cafe has gained attention for its highly Instgrammable dishes.
Thankfully, the food here also tastes very good, with several interesting flavour combinations that blend traditional Asian flavours with modern Australian, Melbourne breakfast and lunch dishes.
Kosciuszko NP - The Aussie 10
Summer 2020/21 #6 - A day walk to the ten highest peaks in Australia.
Walking conditions : Tracks and alpine meadows.
Walk length and duration : Over 40 km in 17 hours.
Weather : Partially sunny, mostly overcast.
Notes : The Aussie ten can be done in different ways, and I chose Abbott N/E peak (2150m) over Mt Northcote (2131m) for this circuit walk. This was my biggest day walk ever, and I was hallucinating from fatigue by the end of it.

Our multi-day hike through Kosciuszko National Park ended up creating us a lot more content than we thought so this vlog is of day one.
Our initial plan was to hike to Australia's 11 highest peaks in 5 days which did end up getting slightly altered due to weather conditions.
On day one we hiked up to Blue Lake, Mt Twynam, Watsons Crag, Carruthers Peak then past Lake Albina. We ended up finding a gorgeous patch of grass to pitch our tent just past Lake Albina. From our tent we had a view of the summit of Mt Kosciuszko, Australia's tallest mountain.
We ended up doing a last minute dash for the summit of Mount Kosciuszko for sunset. It was incredible to be the highest people in the whole country and witness the beauty of the mountain ranges as far as the eye could see.
