The hotel we got was right in the heart of town, very close to the marketsquare and böttcherstrasse. I liked it!

► Go to the Bremer Ratskeller for food and a wine tour! See the oldest cask wine and taste amazing homemade chocolates along the way.
► MUST SEE! The Bremen town hall with the model ships. Very impressive!!! Don't skip this!

Adventures In Saxony, Germany (Saxon Switzerland & Dresden)
From the Bastei Bridge, and the Elbe Sandstone Mountains in Saxon Switzerland,, to Dresden's beautiful architecture, it’s time to get to know Saxony in Germany.
Last month Macca from An Adventurous World and I headed off on an epic adventure with two very different elements. We explored the stunning natural landscapes of Saxon Switzerland, hiking around the Bastei, checking out the Bastei Bridge and some stunning waterfalls and viewpoints too.
We also visited Dresden, to see the stunning architecture of a city that has been almost entirely rebuilt.
Although I've visited Germany five times, this trip showed me a whole new side to the country. I can't wait to see more soon!

Sea, landscape, city, rivers, harbour, ships and lighthouses - this is how maritime Northern Germany presents itself in the maritime city. Views from the 282-feet-high observation deck of the Sail City hotel, located directly on the Weser. Bremerhaven, the smaller sister of Bremen and the federal state of Bremen, at the mouth of the Weser into the North Sea in sunshine and not, as usual, grey and drizzling.
You can see the city, the harbour belonging to the city of Bremen with container terminal [0:51], New Harbour [1:04], fishing harbour, Lehe, the meandering Geeste, the Weser to Bremen inland, Butjadingen [2:23] on the opposite side of the Weser with Nordenham and Wilhelmshaven on the horizon.
You can also see some of the most important tourist highlights and sights of the city in the north, such as the Zoo am Meer [1:15], the German Maritime Museum, the German Emigration House [1:10], the Klimahaus Bremerhaven - 8° Ost [2:40], Seute Deern - one of the sailors in the Old Harbour [3:28], the Mediterraneo [3:38] for shopping and lingering in a Mediterranean atmosphere and much more.

Have you heard of Bremen? Maybe the fairy tale of the donkey, dog cat, and rooster trying to be musicians rings a bell? In any case, Bremen is a gorgeous, historic city on the Weser River - that you have to check out!
Just a quick trip from Hamburg, Bremen is known for its historic sights: the Marktplatz, the famous Rathaus (Town Hall), Bremen Dom (Cathedral), and Böttcherstraße. We absolutely loved wandering around. There's a cool historic village area - known as Schnoorviertel - with tiny houses and alleyways in all directions. We walked the river, checked out a few museums, and even had a coffee (and cake) in the main square just taking in the city life!

Nordenham is a port town at the mouth (west bank) of the river Weser on the North Sea coast. The Midgard seaport in Nordenham is the largest private-owned harbor in Germany. On the other side of the river is Bremenhafen, which can be crossed by ferry in about 15 minutes. Ferry passengers have fallen dramatically since the undersea tunnel was built, but the ferry is still a means of transport for locals, as the tunnel is located 10 km to the south.
