Siberia and the Far East in Russia have traditionally been used for exile of prisoners to concentration camps. The labor of the prisoners was used for the construction of the railway, logging, catching and processing fish, mining of coal and gold.
Today in Nikolaev-on-Amur there is no work. The only way to earn money is poaching (fish).

世界杯為俄羅斯吸引來了無數遊客，甚至連唐僧都來到了現場看球。俄羅斯也成為目前最熱門的旅遊目的地，但你知道嗎？在俄羅斯有一座距離中國最近的城市，只有不到800米的距離，而且還可以免簽去遊玩的。
這就是俄羅斯遠東地區的第三大城市，與我國黑龍江省黑河市僅一江之隔，座落在黑龍江與結雅河交匯處的布拉戈維申斯克（簡稱布市）。
布市是俄羅斯阿穆爾州的首府，也是俄羅斯唯一位於邊境的地方行政中心，同時也是著名的西伯利亞大鐵路的最後一站，但整體城市中並沒有很多高樓大廈，更多的是一種異域田園的色彩。
堤壩是布市最美的地方，這座2013年洪水過後重新建設的沿江堤壩，也是市民遊客們散步遊玩的最佳地點，不僅有非常多的俄羅斯美女，堤岸沿線還散落著許多精緻的小景觀。
眼前這座建築是2005年重新建成的俄版凱旋門，凱旋門的後面則是紀念二戰遇難者的勝利廣場，而整座城市最著名的景點就是這座報喜大教堂，當然阿穆爾州歷史博物館也是不容錯過的地方。
在這個俄羅斯城市中你會發現，有很多中國人和中國餐館，因為自2004年以來，布市和黑河市之間就有了一個免簽證制度，即使沒有護照也可以過境游玩，不僅布市的銀行支持人民幣結算，而且在布市也同樣有中國的手機信號。
其實在100多年前，布市曾是中國的領土，而且一直有一個中國名字叫海蘭泡。
最早來到布市定居的俄國人是1644年的一隻探險隊，他們在1689年中俄《尼布楚條約》之後才離開。直到1856年，俄國在這裡建了一個軍事哨所，這被認為是布市的創建起始點。但在兩年後的（1858年）《璦琿條約》之後，海蘭泡被俄國割佔並以報喜教堂之名改名為報喜，也就是現在的布拉戈維申斯克。
光在1894年的一年中，這個地區附近就挖出了13噸黃金，到20世紀初布市已經是金屬加工貿易的中心，並發展成為了一座商業城市。這期間中國商人的貢獻功不可沒。
如今，布市對岸的黑河市已將“愛輝”兩個字改回曆史上的“璦琿”，銘記歷史，發展未來。

The youngest pilot to fly ROUND THE WORLD!
Travis Ludlow is currently attempting to break the youngest pilot to fly solo around the world. Where is he? What's he flying? What was Russia like? I speak to Travis during his trip, hear how he prepared, what challenges he's faced, and whether he's on track to beat the World Record.
The Youngest Solo Round The World record was previously held by Lachlan Smart and currently by Mason Andrews. Travis is trying to beat those records in his modified Cessna 172. This video is an update on 18 year old Travis Ludlow's record attempt to fly around the world solo.
