10 Best place to visit in Nieuw-Loosdrecht Netherlands

x

Veendijk 11, Loosdrecht, The Netherlands

Family home on the lake
The spacious Port d'Attache villa is situated on the banks of the first Loosdrechtse Plas lake. This ideal location not only guarantees privacy, but also allows you to fully enjoy the large garden or breakfast on one of the terraces of the residence. The home is also favourably situated in terms of wind, so that you can read your morning paper outdoors comfortably and quietly, an important detail for a country house on the lakes.
On the Veendijk side, you can enjoy panoramic views of the water, while the east side allows you to watch the sun rise over the first lake and, at sundown, follow the last rays of sun as they set over the Loenderveense lake.
The residence is warm and inviting, with a playful split-level layout, that was fully renovated in 2000 in keeping with the highest standards. The specious dubble garage and extra carport can accommodate several vehicles. The private dock also has a boathouse.

Ground floor
The entrance leads to a spacious hallway that opens up to a large eat-in kitchen and living room. There is also a guest toilet with wash basin in the hallway.
The SieMatic kitchen is equipped with all imaginable appliances, including a steam oven and cooker. Here and throughout the entire home, large windows offer fantastic water views. The tiled floor, built-in kitchen cabinets and all other details combine timeless elegance and style.
The spacious living room has oak flooring and a cosy fireplace for burning wood in the winter. But a southern exposure and, equally as important, terrace heating mean that you can enjoy the outdoors and evening light until well into autumn.

Garden floor
The stairs from the ground floor end in a hallway leading to five spacious bedrooms. All rooms have built-in wall units and doors that open up to the garden. Two bathrooms make this floor perfect for guest use.
The lower floor provides access to a double garage, which is fitted with underfloor heating and a swing door with remote control. The garage has a large workbench yet ample space for storing motorcycles, bicycles and other items.
There is a separate utility room for a washer and dryer, as well as a wine cellar and pantry. The meter cupboard and central heating boiler are located in a separate room and, finally, the lower floor has a special area for storing luggage.

First floor
The stairs from the ground floor lead to a spacious landing, which in turn leads to the spacious master bedroom, with a separate dressing area and luxury bathroom. Once again, large double windows offer breath-taking views of
the water, so that you can awaken each morning to the sun slowly rising over the water.
This floor also offers access to a large attic.

Garden
The beautifully kept garden was recently re-landscaped and is fully illuminated in the evening and has several terraces, partly with hardwood flooring and partly paved with Rhijn style paving stones. A number of electrical outlets mean that there is sufficient power for parties and other get-togethers.
The garden (and terrace) on the water side have a child-friendly glass enclosure.
An American-style adventure treehouse makes the side garden a genuine play paradise for children.
The boathouse can accommodate two boats and the doors can be operated from the boat by remote. The private dock with two swimming staircases and two illuminated jetties is located directly on the first lake.

General details
• This largest lot located on the Veendijk.
• Extremely solidly built.
• Remote-controlled air conditioning and heating in living area and master bedroom.
• Large built-in garage that holds several cars.
• Carport with lighting.
• Boathouse that accommodates two boats.
• Private dock with two jetties.
• Detached garden house with lighting and water faucet.
• Possibility for home office with views of first lake and separate entrance.
• Lot size of approx. 4,350 m2 (ground and water), living area of approx. 400 m2, volume of approx. 1,700 m3
• originally built in 1960 (renovated in 2000).

Fantastic family home in perfect condition and located in one of the most beautiful locations in Loosdrecht!!

Boating Holiday in Holland

Boating Holiday in Holland. Boats and canals are a way of life in Holland, and boating on Dutch waterways lets you see the real Holland. Travel the landscape of famous painters, admire traditional windmills, use the many waterside cycle routes, and moor at neatly kept marinas.
Cruising is very relaxed from spring tulip time to autumn, with many locks left open throughout the summer months, and the occasional lift bridge a good place to meet fellow travellers. Moor close to the many canal-side bars and cafes offering good food and traditional Dutch hospitality.
The region in north Holland has many lakes for watersports. From our Warmond cruiser base in South Holland with its famous ‘watergate’ visit towns and coastal villages such as Haarlem, Gouda or Delft, and Leiden.
In Amsterdam you can moor in the marina a ferry ride across the ship canal from the central station. You can cruise your boat through the city canals, but care is needed, plus permit purchase. Or take one of the many canal cruise trips. Maybe take the regular train to Amsterdam from Weesp, about 10 minutes by rail.
North of Amsterdam you can cruise to Edam, famous for its distinctive cheese.
The famous Keukenhof Gardens are west of Amsterdam, near Haarlem, with millions of tulips, daffodils, hyacinths and other bulbs flowering in Spring.
South from Amsterdam cruise the River Vecht past ancient townhouses lining the canal through Loosdrecht to Utrecht. Moor at the quaysides or by the cathedral (limited height) and climb the 465 steps in the Dom Tower. Further on reach Gouda where the marina is in the middle of the old town.
The Dutch waterways give you many miles of lock-free cruising, with many opportunities for cycling in the flat countryside. A boating holiday is the best way to see Holland.

Supboarding on 'De Vuntus' in Oud Loosdrecht.

This was our first time to go supping in one of the lakes in Loosdrecht. I read that 'De Vuntus' is the most quiet lake of the area. There were almost no boats only quite a bunch of other suppers. Parking our car in front of the church and graveyard was not the best option. Afterwards there seemed to be better parking lots which also have beter access to the water.
