A place of leisure and hunting, this was the favourite spot of the Savoy family for spectacular parties and solemn marriages, as well as being the residence of Napoleon in the early 19th century.
Filippo Juvarra designed the exceptional architecture for the sovereign, styled on the model of contemporary Central European Residences. For completing the project, also Benedetto Alfieri and other architects of the 1700s lent a hand, while cabinetmakers and carvers, stucco decorators and gilders helped to achieve the final decorative display.
Home to the Furniture Museum since 1919, it holds precious items of furniture, chinoiseries and masterpieces by cabinetmakers and craftsmen coming also from other Savoy Residences.

Stupinigi is a beautiful royal hunting lodge located on the outskirts of Turin, Italy. It was built in the 18th century for Victor Amadeus II, the Duke of Savoy, and is considered one of the finest examples of Baroque architecture in Italy.
The hunting lodge is surrounded by a large park that covers over 150 hectares and is filled with beautiful gardens, fountains, and sculptures. Visitors can explore the park and take in the beautiful scenery, or take a guided tour of the hunting lodge itself, which is filled with stunning frescoes, ornate furnishings, and works of art.
The Mole Antonelliana is a famous landmark and cultural institution in Turin, Italy. It was originally built in the 19th century as a synagogue, but today it houses the National Museum of Cinema, which is one of the largest museums dedicated to the art of film in the world.
The building is named after its architect, Alessandro Antonelli, who designed the tower to be the tallest building in Turin at the time of its construction. It is now one of the most recognizable landmarks in the city, thanks in part to its distinctive dome and spire.

Everything about this trip was epic. We got lost a couple of times but did't mind. It's also a way to discover new areas not advertised in most tourist sites. We got to experience the friendliness of the locals. Their hospitality, a museum keeper even made a reservation for us at an amazing local restaurant. And can we talk about the food and the wine! Food amazing no words. Pastries cute and divine. Our wine favorites are the Chardonnay, Moscato, and Barbera Superiore. So many wine so little time...:)
The area is really beautiful with endless sites of vineyards. One can enjoy short trips to the hilltops where old villages, Chiesa, Castello, Priceless views can be discovered. And traces of history that shaped each villages definitely makes for greater visit to the region of Piedmont in Italy.
Because Switzerland is close to the area we frequent the region whenever we can. And each time we come for a visit or vacation. There is always new discoveries for us!

This makes it the highest sanctuary in Lazio region. Its position is fascinanting, facing the spectacular view of the mountains of Regional Natural Park of Monti Simbruini, in the valley where Simbrivio is born, afluent of Aniene.

The legenf of the place speaks about a farmer, while plowing the fields of Tagliata, saw the oxen suddenly flee and fall along the cliff of Cole della Tagliata. In a miraculous way, both the plow and the oxen remained clinging to the rock at half height. The shepherd who arrived on the shelf of the sanctuary, to his amazement and happiness found the oxen alive and unharmed and adoring the image of the Holy Trinity painted in the cave.
