These waterfalls of the Laja river are spectacular in every sense. Where the river is calm upstream, downstream it gets more and more like a rapid as the waters rush through a deep and narrow canyon.

Also known as Rucapihan, this is one of the most active volcanoes of Chile and is located in the Central Chilean Valley. The hike to the top is truly amazing, although it can be dangerous when there is too much snow.

This immense glacier is one of the few glaciers worldwide that are advancing. It is easy to go to the large viewing platform and see enormous pieces of ice collapse into the water.

10. Mar del Plata
Once a retreat for Argentina’s aristocracy, Mar del Plata today is the country’s top beach resort city. Located on the Atlantic Coast in the Buenos Aires Province, Mar del Plata attracts millions of tourists every year to its sandy beaches and lively culture. During the summer weekends it can get very crowded here but outside the summer months, the city takes on a much more relaxed feel.
9. Cordoba, Argentina
At the geographical center of Argentina is Cordoba, the country’s second largest city. Surrounded by picturesque valleys and mountains, Cordoba is best known for its concentration of Spanish colonial buildings. Most of these historic palaces, churches and monuments are found in the city center within an area known as the Jesuit Block. Cordoba is also home to more than 200,000 students, producing the city with a youthful and lively atmosphere.

Neuquén, capital de la provincia del mismo nombre desde 1904 (provincia desde 1955, antes Territorio Nacional), en Argentina y en el Alto Valle de Río Negro. Es la ciudad más poblada de la Patagonia Argentina, con aproximadamente 250.000 habitantes, sin contar las ciudades lindantes como Plottier, Centenario y Cipolletti en Río Negro, lo que la acerca a un área de influencia de unos 400.000 habitantes que le dan una vida intensa.

Tiene varios hipermercados, cines, tres shoppings o centros comerciales, museos, infinidades de actividades turísticas en las cercanías, como la ruta del vino y de los dinosaurios o disfrutar de los diferentes lagos como el Marí Menuco (a 50km.) o el Ramos Mexía (a 85 km) en El Chocón, con un museo paleontológico que exhibe el dinosaurio carnívoro más grande del mundo hasta ahora hallado. Igualmente, a 110 kilómetros, en Plaza Huincul, podrá el visitante ir al Museo Carmen Funes con uno de los dinosaurios herbívoros más grandes, de unos impactantes 40 metros de longitud.
El Aeropuerto tiene conexiones a varias ciudades, como Buenos Aires, Córdoba, Rosario, Salta, Mendoza y Comodoro Rivadavia. Durante el 2018 superó el millón de pasajeros por primera vez en un año, en 2019 sucedió lo mismo. Lamentablemente, en 2020, fue víctima de la pandemia y el tránsito de pasajeros se redujo drásticamente. También la ciudad tiene una terminal de buses con conexiones a varios puntos de la provincia de Neuquén y a muchas ciudades de Argentina.
Neuquén está a unos 350 kilómetros de la Cordillera de los Andes y de los principales Centros Turísticos, como San Martín de los Andes, Villa La Angostura, San Carlos de Bariloche, Caviahue, etc.
Así, Neuquén se presenta como una ciudad de oportunidades para quien quiera establecerse o visitarla.
En éste video, podrás conocer el centro de Neuquén, más precisamente, la Avenida Argentina y la Olascoaga en toda su extensión, hasta llegar al Paseo Costero sobre el Río Limay.
