Terryglass Quay - Cé Thír Dhá Ghlas - Lough Derg - Tipperary
Oldfrostig takes a walk around Terryglass Quay which lies on the banks of Lough Derg in Co Tipperary, Ireland. This Quay boasts plenty of mooring spots for small boats and facilities for the boaters including toilets and showers. The village of Terryglass is only a short walk and you can watch an Oldfrostig video showing the village which includes Paddy’s Bar and The Derg Inn where those from the boats can be watered and fed.
The Quay also boasts a pier which we took a stroll along. There is also a fairy trail and we spotted a number of little houses. There is also a holy well there named after a local saint, the water of which is meant to help with eyesight.
