AVOID MALTA IN 2023 - It's Not What You Think ????????
Just an honest video of what's it like in St. Paul's Bay - Bugibba & Qawra in Malta. This video represents my personal opinion, plus the presented state of things here. Sustainability levels of this island are becoming exhausted.
St. Paul's Bay, Malta is a local council consisting of Bugibba, Qawra and St. Paul's Bay residential areas. Full of shops, restaurants, hotels and couple of local seafood stores. It is also the most populated town in Malta, and the town with most of the construction works after St. Julian's and Sliema.

Asking people How Much Rent they Pay in Malta
Asking people how much rent they pay in Malta ? In todays video i met people that are living in Malta and asked them how much rent they pay. Some of the answers shocked me, as poeple who moved to Malta are paying a sharing room for €375 per month. Some other people are paying €950, some €1400 and even €4500 per month. The rent in Malta for accommodation is different according to the size of the apartment and the locality. Needless to say the rent in Malta has gone high up in the past 5 years and many people are not happy about that.

► 0:04 San Anton Gardens
The San Anton Gardens, located in Attard is a beautifully-kept public garden. This garden forms part of the President's residence.
Today they are open from 9am to 7pm. Entrance is free.
Buses 51 52 53 56 from Valletta C2 will take you there.
A variety of plants to observe and enjoy(rosewood, Norfolk pines, bougainvilleas, several varieties of roses and orchids).
Well maintained, nice trees, flowers and plants, lots of animals (cats, birds, peacocks, turtles, fish).
► 1:16 Upper Barrakka Gardens
The best place to overlook the Harbour in Valletta. Stunning views in a beautiful setting.
There are a couple of bences to sit (some in the sun, others in the shade)
There's also a small bar where you can buy drinks (beer, coffee etc)
► 1:45 You can watch the noon gun that is fired from the Saluting battery from above in the garden.12pm and 4PM
► 2:02 Lower Barrakka Gardens
Nice gardens complimentary less visited by tourists than his bigger brother with a view of the War Memorial and Harbour.
The gardens contain some interesting monuments, some shade providing trees and a small fountain.
The terrace area features, a number of commemorative plaques dedicated to, amongst others, the Hungarian revolution of 1956, the Prague spring, Giuseppe Garibaldi and the 50th anniversary of the European Union.
► 3:15 Argotti Botanical Gardens
A short walk from Valletta, nestled amongst other Floriana points of interest,a really nice botanical garden with thousands of potted plants, a huge collection of cacti and wonderful trees .
Surrounding the botanical gardens are a public park with fantastic views across the island towards Dingli and Mdina.
► 4:40 Palazzo Parisio & Gardens
In Naxxar, Malta, opposite the church, you find the Palazzo Parisio, an antique nobleman's residence, fully re-decorated and re-furnished around 1900 in a rather baroque, palacial style.
The gardens are superb, well maintained in a formal, French style in the first half, while the second half contains a large pond surrounded by (real) fruit trees.
The Gardens are lovely to wander in and have a great selection of citrus fruit and bougainvillea.
Bus 31 45 46 from from Valletta B5 will take you there.

This place in Malta did not impress me, this is Qormi. If you are wondering what to see in Malta definitely have a look at a local area like Qormi, something that is very traditional but very rundown. This place needs some revamp. However, many expats are interested to live in Malta and on a budget, Qormi is a great place in Malta for people on a budget. It has a lot of boutiques, shops, markets, a lot of things to do in Malta. Qormi it is loccated in Central Malta so it is on a short distance to the capital Valletta, to Sliema and St. Julians!

Another affordable and beatiful city in Malta is here and it is called Mosta. Exploring Mosta was incredible experience, you can see the Maltese architecture all over the city, there are wide and tiny streets around. Renting an apartment in Mosta is a great idea as it is stands for an affordable and beautiful city in Malta. The Mosta dome is in the city centre, stands beautifuly around coffee shops and bars.

One of the nicest things I noticed was that every house in Naxxar has a name written on it. I saw names like Soleil, Divine Angels, Maria. We also saw a lot of catholic elements on the buildings.

PALAZZO PARISIO and GARDENS
NAXXAR, MALTA
Palazzo Parisio and Gardens is a 20th-century palace in Naxxar Malta and is a top attraction for visitors and locals alike.
It was originally built as a hunting lodge in 1733 by the Grand Master de Vihenna. After his death is was taken over by the Order of St. John, and then Paola Parisio. Over the years it was variously used as a summer or a permanent residence, as a barracks, and even as a college before the Marquis Scicluna bought it in 1898 for a sum of 1500 pounds sterling.
Sometime later the new owner transformed it into the present palace with is modest Art Nouveau front and back facades and with a Sicilian Baroque interior, not to mention laying out the exquisite gardens.
A team of Italian architects, sculptors, and painters were commissioned to embellish the interiors and garden.. Work began in 1900 and was largely completed by 1906. Unfortunately, Scicluna died on St. Valentine’s Day, 1907.
During the two World Wars, the palace was handed over to the British Government to use it for public needs. It was also used as an R.A.F. Office and hosted soldiers and their families.
In the 21st century, Marie Christiane Scicluna who partially owns the palace has taken to an initiative to renovate and revive the property. The result has enabled it to be opened to the public.
The Palace has been described as ‘a miniature Versailles and no wonder. The façade contains a large doorway flanked by a column on each side. The columns support an open balcony and the latter’s doorway contains the Scicluna coat of arms.
The interior is richly decorated with frescoes, statues, columns, chandeliers, and other works of art. The ballroom is gilded and it is considered to be unique in Malta..
La Taverna Del Marchese is named after Marquis (Marchese) Giuseppe Scicluna. It is the underground of Palazzo Parisio. The tavern was designed to be a wine store when Naxxar was largely dependent on agriculture bringing high income to farmers. The Marquis opened the Tavern to the public during WWII to have shelter from air bombing..
The tavern at Palazzo Parisio also served as a general underground hospital catering for Naxxar region and British soldiers.
Gardens[
. The Italian gardens near the palace still exist and are now a tourist attraction and wedding venue.
The remaining gardens of the palace contain over 60 species of plants, including Ceiba speciosa, Erythrina crista-Galli, Jacaranda, and Sapindus.
It is akin to walking through an art gallery of nature, where one can both admire with the eyes the beautiful color and imbibe with the nose the scent of these gorgeous flowers and perfumed plants.
Filming scenes
The palace was used as a filming location in a variety of movies, including Cutthroat Island and The Count of Monte Cristo (2002 film)[25]
The palace features in the music video of Olivia Lewis called 'Vertigo', which was part of the 2007 Eurovision song contest.
Truly, is the Palazzo Paradiso a thing of beauty and joy forever.
