We start in our walking tour right there at the cathedral and explore the town center from its market square. We get out of the center and return passing the Nietzsche House. Our tour ends at the market square having a good impression of Naumburg.

Visiting Germany's NORTHERNMOST WINE REGION! ????| SAALE-UNSTRUT TRAVEL GUIDE
Hello and greetings from Saale-Unstrut! Today, we are visiting the northernmost of Germany's 13 wine-growing regions, which sits along the 51st parallel north. The wine history here dates back over a thousand years, with the first vines being cultivated by monks in the year 998 (nine hundred and ninety eight) AD, and it’s as picturesque a destination as you can find!
This is a place where terraced vineyards come spilling down the hills, where medieval castles sit atop clifftops, and where churches stand guard in the heart of the old town. We’ve said it before, and we’ll say it again - Germany has some pretty magical destinations to discover.
In this video, we'll tour the town of Freyburg, we'll sample some German white wines at a baroque vineyard, we'll explore Naumburg Cathedral from its attic to its treasury vault, we'll take part in a forging workshop, spend the night in a wine hotel, and a whole lot more.

Daniel Aßmann startet auf der Leuchtenburg bei Jena in Thüringen und reist vorbei an weiteren prächtigen Schlössern und Burgen, durch das nördlichste Weinanbaugebiet Europas und durch das Naturschutzgebiet Hohe Schrecke bis nach Sachsen-Anhalt. Während er auf dem Saale-Radweg das Pedelec bevorzugt, zieht er sich für den Werra-Unstrut-Radweg die Inliner an. Zur Fundstelle der Himmelsscheibe von Nebra ist Daniel Aßmann zu Fuß unterwegs; von Camburg bis zur Käthe-Kruse-Stadt Bad Kösen paddelt er mit dem Kanu. Und den Zusammenfluss von Saale und Unstrut erlebt er von der Fähre aus. Daniel Aßmann erkundet Jena, Naumburg und Freyburg und lässt sich von einer ehemaligen deutschen Weinprinzessin ihre Heimat zeigen – inklusive Weinproben.
Die Saale fließt 413 Kilometer durch Bayern, Thüringen und Sachsen-Anhalt. Als Rinnsal entspringt sie im fränkischen Fichtelgebirge, bevor sie im Thüringer Wald zu einem stattlichen Fluss wird. Die Saale ist der größte und bedeutendste Fluss in Thüringen und die Lebensader vieler kleinerer und größerer, historisch wertvoller Städte, die sich wie Perlen entlang des Ufers aufreihen. Kaum irgendwo in Europa gibt es eine so große Anzahl von Schlössern und Burgen entlang eines Flussverlaufs. Im Blütengrund bei Naumburg mündet die kleinere Unstrut in die Saale.
Saale-Unstrut ist eine hochmittelalterlich geprägte Wein- und Kulturlandschaft in der Mitte Deutschlands. Das Weinanbaugebiet Saale-Unstrut liegt am 51. Breitengrad und ist damit das nördlichste Weinanbaugebiet Europas. Es hat insgesamt etwa 850 Hektar Rebfläche, ist damit nicht das kleinste, aber es gehört zu den kleineren Weinanbaugebieten. Seit mehr als 1.000 Jahren werden hier Reben angebaut. In den Weinbergen stehen sogenannte Weinbergshütten. Ursprünglich dienten sie als Geräteräume, heute sind viele von ihnen zu Ferienwohnungen umgebaut. Viele Winzer schenken ihren Wein auch in einer Straußwirtschaft aus.

Herausragende Sehenswürdigkeiten sind der Naumburger Dom St. Peter und Paul und der Marktplatz mit den historischen Bürgerhäusern und dem Renaissance-Rathaus. Naumburg/ Saale ist Verwaltungssitz des Burgenlandkreises. Die Stifterfiguren des Naumburger Domes sind weltberühmt.
Die zwölf #NaumburgerStifterfiguren gehören zu den bedeutendsten deutschen Skulpturen des Mittelalters. Bei den beiden zentralen Figurengruppen, die sich im Westchor des Naumburger Domes gegenüberstehen, handelt es sich auf der Südseite um Markgraf Hermann mit seiner Gemahlin Reglindis und auf der Nordseite um Markgraf Ekkehard II. mit seiner Gemahlin Uta. Die Stifterfiguren wurden vom Naumburger Meister etwa in der Mitte des 13. Jahrhunderts aus Sandstein gefertigt.

Der Naumburger Dom St. Peter und Paul wurde grösstenteils im 13. Jahrhundert errichtet. Besondere Sehenswürdigkeiten sind die Stifterfigungen Hermann von Meißen und Reglindis und Ekkehard II. und Uta von Naumburg.
Der Naumburger Dom ist als #UNESCO-Welterbestätte nomieniert.
Auch die mittelalterliche Altstadt sollte unbedingt besucht werden. Rund um den Marktplatz sind imposante Bürgerhauser zu finden.
Einmal im Jahr findet in Naumburg der Taubenmarkt stadt, an welchem sich Taubenzüchter aus der gesamten Welt treffen.
Für die Besichtigung des Domes sollte man ausreichend Zeit einplanen.
Naumburg (Saale) ist eine Stadt im Süden von Sachsen-Anhalt. Naumburg ist Verwaltungssitz des Burgenlandkreises und Mittelpunkt des nördlichsten deutschen Weinanbaugebietes Saale-Unstrut. Die Stadt ist ein Bahnknotenpunkt und verfügt über eine reichhaltige Geschichte, so war sie früher zum Beispiel Sitz des Bistums Naumburg. Wahrzeichen ist der Naumburger Dom in der mittelalterlichen Altstadt.
Ein weiteres wichtiges Fest ist das Naumburger Kirschfest. #Naumburg liegt an der Strasse der Romanik.
