• Narni (in Latin, Narnia) is an ancient hilltown and comune of Umbria, in central Italy. At an altitude of 240 m, it overhangs a narrow gorge of the Nera River in the province of Terni. It is very close to the geographic center of Italy. There is a stone on the exact spot with a sign in multiple languages.
Like many of the smaller towns of Umbria, Narni is still of strikingly medieval appearance today, with stone buildings, and narrow cobblestone streets. The town is famous for one of the largest Roman bridges (Ponte d'Augusto) ever built, by which the Via Flaminia crossed the Nera. One arch of the bridge still stands; it is some 30 meters high.

Oggi vi ho portato in Umbria, la sorella piccola della Toscana, che condivide con questa regione tutte le caratteristiche culturali, enogastronomiche e artistiche.
Siamo a Vigne, una frazione di Narni, il famoso Comune di Narni, e noi siamo qui per presentare un casale, un casale particolare che ha un suo specifico fascino, perché, pur mantenendo un sapore antico, il proprietario è riuscito a salvaguardare la connessione col passato insieme a un moderno solo nel sapore.
Questo casale è praticamente insediato in due ettari e mezzo di terra e ha una caratteristica particolare, è completamente autonomo.
A distanza del confine, quindi non disturba la vista, il proprietario ha realizzato un impianto fotovoltaico che gli permette una totale autonomia in termini di energia elettrica, oltre ad avere anche una rendita mensile, che non guasta in queste circostanze.
Sono distratto perché alla mia sinistra intravedo la piscina, che fa parte di questa proprietà, alle spalle della quale c’è tutta la sua collina con gli uliveti. Gli uliveti sono l’altra caratteristica, l’altro punto di forza di questa casa, circondano l’intero parco e permettono al proprietario di potersi fregiare dell’obiettivo di produrre anche lui l’olio, tipico del territorio.
Alle mie spalle vedete un bellissimo camino, ce ne sono anche altri, perché questo casale è sviluppato su due livelli. Al piano nobile, dove sono io adesso, c’è la casa padronale, sono quasi 200 mq di casa, poi, sotto, sono stati realizzati altri appartamenti per attivare una struttura anche ricettiva, e quindi, attivare questa struttura ricettiva sicuramente renderà ancora più proficua questa proprietà.

Today I am taking you to Umbria, the little sister of Tuscany, with which it shares all the regional cultural, gastronomic and artistic characteristics.
We are in Vigne, a district of Narni, the famous Municipality of Narni, and we are here to present a farmhouse. This particular farmhouse has its own specific charm, because, while maintaining an ancient flavour, the owner has managed to safeguard the connection with the past along with a modern feel.
This farmhouse is practically located in two and a half hectares of land and has the special defining feature of being completely energy-autonomous.
At the boundary of the property, so it does not disturb the view, the owner has built a photovoltaic system that provides total self-sufficiency in terms of electricity, as well as bringing in a monthly income, which does not hurt under these circumstances.
I am distracted because on my left, I can catch a glimpse of the swimming pool, which is part of this property, behind which there is the property's hill with olive groves. The olive groves are the other feature, the other strong point of this house, they surround the entire park and allow the owner to boast that also they can produce olive oil, typical of the region.
Behind me you can see a beautiful fireplace, there are also others, because this farmhouse is developed on two levels.
