The seagulls at Green Lake are a wonder and if you visit during the winter time, this is definitely a must see place in Kunming. Yuantong Temple is very tranquil and best visited in the late afternoon.

Kunming(昆明) is the capital of Yunnan Province, China. It is known as the Spring City because of its pleasant climate with no scorching heat in summer and severe cold in winter. Kunming is located at a near-tropical latitude with an altitude of 2,000 meters, which gives it a mild and pleasant climate. However, it still snows here in winter, so if you go there in winter, remember to bring warm clothes.
The air here is also cleaner than other cities in China, despite the excessive waste pollution in the busy streets. Kunming has a population of nearly 10 million and the city is still expanding rapidly. Thanks to the good climate environment.

Kunming Old Street is a very famous tourist area in Kunming. It is located in the center of Wuhua District. You can get there by taking the subway to Wuyi Road and walking northeast.
I started walking from Wenming Street, from Kunming Old Street to Nanping Pedestrian Street Market, then to Nanqiang Night Market, and finally to Shuncheng Shopping Center. Chinese New Year is coming, and it is very lively and has a New Year atmosphere.

Kunming, abbreviated as Kun, is the capital of Yunnan Province of the People's Republic of China, the only mega-city in Yunnan and the fourth largest city in Western China. It is the political, economic, cultural, scientific and technological center and transportation hub of Western China. It is the gateway to China's opening to Southeast Asia and South Asia. It is also a famous historical and cultural city and an excellent tourist city in China. Kunming is known as the Spring City because it has a typical temperate climate with no summer heat, no winter cold and a pleasant climate. Kunming is a famous national historical and cultural city with the World Natural Heritage Yunnan Stone Forest, the national scenic Dianchi Lake, the Sedan Chair National Nature Reserve, the Xishan National Forest Park, and many key national cultural relics protection units.
In the traditional urban axis of Kunming - Sanshichi Street and Zhengyi Road, there are Golden Horse and Chicken Square and the recent park. Not far to the south of the Golden Horse and Pigeon Square is the tall East-West Temple Pagoda, a relic of the Southern imperial empire and one of the oldest buildings in Kunming. Since 1985, tens of thousands of red-billed gulls flying from the north have been wintering at Cuihu Lake from December to March, making it one of Kunming's most popular sights.
