This video documents travel from my home, Usangi to Mwanga through the beautifully lush North Pare mountains located in Kilimanjaro region, Northern Tanzania. The 27 KM journey takes 50 minutes by car as the roads are windy and steep with several blind spots. Usangi is located up in the North Pare mountains, while Mwanga is located at the base of the North Pare mountains. Pare mountains are a block mountain range located south east of Mt. Kilimanjaro. The Pare mountains are natively inhabited by the Pare people also known as 'Vaasu'. Recently, Usangi and the Pare mountains has become a multicultural community as the area has a district hospital and trading centre which has attracted people from all across Tanzania and different parts of the world. It is a tourist friendly place as people come from all over the world to experience the Pare culture, and hike through the well-conserved natural rainforest on top of the Pare mountain ranges. There are many species of birds and other animals that are part of the natural fauna in the forest. The weather is primarily cool and rainy, so always bring a jacket, boots and raincoats!

In this video, we start out in Dar Es Salaam, me and the boys, including @harryjaggardtravel , Don Rob, and Malak al Lebnen: Fouad. We all take a small propeller flight plane from Dar Es Salaam to Arusha, Tanzania. Then we get picked up by our tour guide operator named Malaki. He has an incredible setup for us and then takes us to the Masaai tribe lodge where we stay for the night.
Once we arrive, we meet up with @GoWithAli , my brother, my friend Jimmy, Cal, and Brian. We stay overnight, and we'll share with you our experiences of our stay there.
The next morning, we wake up, have breakfast, and take you with us to hike up Kilimanjaro. On this hike, it's a few-hour hike, not to the top of the main Mount Kilimanjaro mountain, but we go up to the tip of one of the mountain peaks within Mount Kilimanjaro National Park. It was so much fun and made for a great first day, which you'll see in the video.
