Thanks to Andrea Lisa, we present another line in 4K for the first time on Youtube, through the beautiful Jura mountains of Switzerland. This line is used for InterCity services between Biel and Basel, with a change of direction in Delémont. A few years ago, the train continued from Biel on to Geneva, however construction work has led to some timetable changes.

Canton of Vaud
Vaud is one of the 26 cantons forming the Swiss Confederation. It is composed of ten districts and its capital city is Lausanne. Its flag bears the motto Liberté et patrie on a white-green background.
Vaud is the third largest canton of the country by population and fourth by size. It is located in Romandy, the French-speaking western part of the country; and borders the canton of Neuchâtel to the north, the cantons of Fribourg and Bern to the east, the canton of Valais to the south, the canton of Geneva to the south-west and France to the west. The geography of the canton includes all three natural regions of Switzerland: the Jura Mountains, the Swiss Plateau and the (Swiss) Alps. It also includes some of the largest lakes of the country: Lake Geneva and Lake Neuchâtel. It is a major tourist destination, renowned for its landscapes and gastronomy. The largest city is Lausanne, followed by Yverdon-les-Bains and Montreux. As of 2019 the canton has a population of 805,098. It is one of the four cantons where French is the sole official language. Formerly a Bernese bailiwick, Vaud joined the Swiss Confederation as an independent canton in 1803.
Canton of Fribourg
The canton of Fribourg, also canton of Freiburg is located in western Switzerland. The canton is bilingual, with French spoken by two thirds of the citizens and German by about one third. Both are official languages in the canton. The canton takes its name from its capital city of Fribourg. The canton of Fribourg joined the Swiss Confederation in 1481. The area is made up of lands acquired by the capital Fribourg. The present extent was reached in 1803 when Murten (Morat) was acquired. The canton of Fribourg joined the separatist league of Catholic cantons in 1846 (Sonderbund). The following year, its troops surrendered to the federal army.
Lavaux
Lavaux is a region in the canton of Vaud in Switzerland, in the district of Lavaux-Oron. Lavaux consist of 830 hectares of terraced vineyards that stretch for about 30 km along the south-facing northern shores of Lake Geneva. Although there is some evidence that vines were grown in the area in Roman times, the actual vine terraces can be traced back to the 11th century, when Benedictine and Cistercian monasteries controlled the area. It benefits from a temperate climate, but the southern aspect of the terraces with the reflection of the sun in the lake and the stone walls gives a mediterranean character to the region. The main wine grape variety grown here is the Chasselas. Under cantonal law, the vineyards of Lavaux are protected from development. Since July 2007, Lavaux is a UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Since 2016, the vineyards of Lavaux are not treated with synthetic pesticides any more. There are many hikes possible through the vineyards of Lavaux. There is a hiking trail (Terrasses de Lavaux), going from Saint-Saphorin to Lutry, recommended by the Tourism Office of Switzerland.

Leisurely Sunday walk to Moutier, Switzerland
Places in order of appearance: Crémines-Zoo, Corcelles, Crémines, Grandval, Belprahon, Moutier. These are villages and a town in the Bernese Jura (as of February 2021 - no political statement intended), Switzerland. This video is a kind of experiment: I wanted to see how well filming a walk with a head-mounted wearable camera (Ordro EP6) works. Not terribly well, as it turned out - there's still a lot of bobbing and shaking despite applying some stabilisation in video editing (I didn't want to overdo it). But maybe you enjoy the beautiful landscape and quaint villages in this Sunday evening walk nevertheless. From Grandval to Moutier, there are only a few clips taken with my smartphone, as the camera's battery had run out. The music is by Kevin MacLeod; see credits at the end of the video.

Enjoy this ride from Perrefitte to Undervelier in 4k 30p.
This is one of the most beautiful road in Switzerland. There is little traffic on the road and the area is hardly inhabited. Shortly before Les Genevez, the former monastery in Bellelay surprises. Where the cheese “Tête de Moine” is said to have been invented, the buildings are now used as a psychiatric clinic. In Petit-Val we turn right, continue through the narrow and deep Gorges du Pichoux and reach Undervelier around three and a half kilometers later. On the way, it is worth taking a short detour to Lac Vert or to the artworks of Bronze Art SA.

Perrefitte is located at 600 meters of altitude. This old agricultural village lies 2 km (1.2 mi) west of Moutier, in the chain of the Jura Mountains, on the left bank of the Chalière brook, which merges into the Birse river in Moutier.
Undervelier info:
Undervelier is first mentioned in 1179 as Undreviller. The former municipality is located in the Delemont district, between two of the Sorne river canyons and at the foot of Pichoux mountain.
Sights:
The entire Les Forges area is designated as part of the Inventory of Swiss Heritage Sites. Notable sights in the area include the cave of Sainte-Colombe and the Gorges of Pichoux. Other sights include the Vellerat Posé because of its greenery and the chapel Place Roland Béguelin built by Jeanne Bueche and André Bréchet's stained glass windows.

Today we're driving along one of the lines through the beautiful Jura mountains. I feel like this is one of my best videos to date. It's spring time, the sun is shining but it's not too warm yet - ideal for avoiding insects. In the summer months it can sound like its raining with the amount of insects that hit the windshield, especially driving 200km/h.
