Mosta is the central city famous for its Rotunda Church, which has a huge dome that is the third largest unsupported dome in the whole world with an internal diameter of 37.2 m and walls almost 9.1 m (30 ft) thick.
An interesting fact is that during the Second World War, during the bombing, a 500 kg demolition bomb penetrated the ceiling of the dome and fell inside the church during mass. Fortunately, the charge did not explode and no one was injured. This bomb is displayed inside the rotunda.
Mosta is located in central Malta and has a population of approximately 19,000, making it one of the largest cities on the island of Malta. Around the town of Mosta are the villages of Naxxar, Rabat, Mdina, Burmarrad and Lija.
Mosta is located on the main route that runs from Valletta to Cirkewwa in the north and therefore experiences heavy daily traffic, especially on Constitution Street. Mosta can be reached from the following cities: Valletta, St Julian's, Sliema, Bugibba, Bugibba, Qawra, Mdina, Mosta and Cirkewwa.

Mdina, nicknamed “ the noble city “ as it used to be a home of many nobles, is a fortified medieval town full of narrow streets, beautiful churches, od palaces and gracious houses. This town is very old - its history dates to 8th century BC. Walking through Mdina is like stepping back in time. The entrance to the city is through baroque-style Mdina Gate. Continue to St Paul’s Cathedral, which is one of the finest in Europe. However, it is not the original church, the original church was destroyed in the earthquake. Continue to Palazzo Santa Sofia, which contains an extraordinary collection of art and antiques. In October 2021, I visited the island of Malta and then the second island of the Republic of Malta, the island of Gozo. However, this video is about the main island of Malta, Malta. The whole trip was nice and Malta offers a lot of history. Malta also has many beautiful sandy beaches (like the Golden Beach or Paradise Bay). The old town of Mdina was especially beautiful. The capital Valletta is also beautiful, but it is very commercial. Instead, I recommend visiting the picturesque city of Marsaxlokk. Personally, I missed more nature, but natural landmarks like Blue Grotto and Dingli Cliffs are beautiful. Lovers of ancient history must not miss the ancient temples Tarxien and Ħaġar Qim.
Maltu jsem navštívil v říjnu 2021. Nevynechal jsem ani druhý ostrov Gozo, ale toto video je věnované hlavnímu ostrovu Malty, který se nazývá Malta. Za sebe mohu říct, že Malta má hodně historických památek, krásné prehistorické chrámy a úžasné písečné pláže. Celkově je však Malta spíše komerční, což turista pozná v hlavním městě Valletta, ale defakto skoro po celém ostrově. O to více překvapila návštěva druhého ostrova Malty, Gozo. Na Gozo se můžete těšit v dalším videu.
