The Sprit of the Outback | Brisbane to Longreach by train | First class sleeper review

Find out what it's like to travel to the outback on one of Australia's few remaining government-run sleeper trains in first class. The Spirit of the Outback connects Brisbane with the Longreach, in the heart of the Queensland outback.

It's the only rail journey in Queensland where sleeper passengers get their own private cabin, with all main meals included in an exclusive dining carriage.

In this video, I review the the first class sleeper experience, including meals in the Tuckerbox Restaurant and drinks in the Shearer's Rest lounge car. I also take a look at the seats in economy for comparison.

This video showcases the beautiful scenery along the way, including sunset and sunrise and a spectacular journey over the Drummond Range.

Travelling between Brisbane and Longreach twice a week, the Spirit of the Outback is a relaxing but joyous adventure. Although the rolling stock is ageing, it remains a popular service.

In this episode, i decided to explore a Sydney Suburb that is very close to my heart. Now this Sydney neighborhood isn't as popular / well know as some other suburbs such as Newtown, Surry hills or Sydney CBD, but it is well worth a visit for their amazing food.

The interesting thing about Eastwood is that it has both a Chinese side and a Korea side, with a huge Chinese & Korean community respectively. We explore both sides and i let ya know what are my fav places/ restaurants to visit whenever you're there.

Hope you enjoyed this vlog style video!

10 Years in a Paddock | Aussie Trucker | Trucks and stuff | Heavy vehicle recovery | Tow Truck

G'day viewers, 4 months ago I started a new job in the Heavy Vehicle Recovery industry with Barnes Auto Co. here in Brisbane, Queensland Australia.
This video is about a job we got to take two trailers and their associated equipment from a paddock in rural Australia to a workshop in southern Brisbane for their reconditioning. Maybe Clint will let me show you how they look when finished.
Driving a few different trucks from a Mack Under lift Tow Truck to a Freightliner Super Tilt. Both still with the trusty 18 speed Road Ranger.
I hope to have a few more tutorial, how to videos soon and another in my 18 Speed road ranger series.
Hopefully, with the blessing of my new employer, I will also have a few videos on my day to day work in Heavy Vehicle Recovery.

Queensland Brisbane Flood 2022

The 2022 Eastern Australia floods were one of the nation's worst recorded flood disasters with a series of floods that occurred in South East Queensland, the Wide Bay–Burnett and parts of coastal New South Wales. Brisbane suffered major flooding, along with the cities of Maryborough, Gympie, the Sunshine Coast, Caboolture, Toowoomba, Ipswich, Logan City, the Gold Coast, Murwillumbah, Grafton, Byron Bay, Lismore, the Central Coast and parts of Sydney.

Twenty-two people are known to have died during the disaster.[2] Throughout South East Queensland and the Wide Bay–Burnett, almost one thousand schools were closed in response to the flooding,[4] evacuations took place[5] and the public were advised to avoid non-essential travel.[6] Food shortages were reported across the region, due to the ensuing supply chain crisis as well as affecting communities in outback Queensland.
