*I highly recommend this travel health insurance because you don't have to pay out of pocket for your medical expenses and they have very reasonably priced long term plans. You can buy the packages for shorter trips as well, but they're especially fantastic for digital nomads and nomads who want regular health insurance when they are abroad. Montmorency Falls (La Chute Montmorency) - Québec ???????? | 4K #montmorency #falls #waterfall #quebec

Filmed with proper authorization based on Transport Canada and Nav Canada guidelines.

At 83 m (272.3') high, a full 30 m (98.4') taller than Niagara Falls, the Montmorency Falls are as spectacular a sight in the summer as in the winter.

They are located in a park of the same name only 15 minutes from Old Québec. This is one destination you will not want to miss, as it is where the St. Lawrence River stretches out not far from the base of the cliffs.

During your visit, you get to choose between wonder and adventure. Take a cable car to the top of the cliff to admire the falls from a unique vantage point. The view is breathtaking, even in the winter! Cross the suspended bridge to the belvedere, where you can feel the power of the river as it thunders past.

For the daredevil in you, follow one of the three via ferrata routes up the cliff, or zoom over the plunge pool on the double zipline 300 m (984') in the air.

You can also learn about the site's fascinating history at the interpretation centre. In the summer, you can have a picnic at the historical orchard and test your endurance by climbing the 487 steps of the panoramic staircase. Tourists with a fine palate will appreciate one of the best brunches in the region, served at the Montmorency Manor.

The Parc de la Chute de Sault au Mouton | A Beautiful Hike and Waterfall in Eastern Quebec

Just a short drive from Tadoussac, on the way to Labrador City, is the beautiful Parc de la Chute de Sault au Mouton.

The trails to the waterfall start at the Visitor Information center. From here it's a short 10-minute walk to the beach and suspension bridge, which offers the best view of the waterfall (Chute de Sault au Mouton).

While hiking around you can see the remains of a 19th-century sawmill and the Sault-au-Mouton Falls. The hiking trail with interpretive panels leads to a suspension bridge over the falls.

Quebec City Video Guide

The Canadian province of Quebéc is a traditional wintersports destination. However, it is during the warm summers that its elegant capital, Quebéc City, really comes to life.

Visit Quebéc City to get a taste of France in a familiar North American setting. The walled Upper Town, with all its towers and grand buildings, is just as charming as the historic Lower Town. A funicular and the so-called L'Escalier Casse-Cou (Breakneck Stairs) connects the two parts of the heritage-listed city center.

The Musée de la Civilisation near the waterfront showcases the history of Quebéc, from the First Nations to modern times. The city sprung up around the Notre Dame basilica at Place Royale. Dufferin Terrace is a long promenade with views of the St. Lawrence River. It is overlooked by the landmark Château Frontenac. Other highlights are Battlefields Park, the Fontaine de Tourny at the Parliament Building and of course the Changing of the Guard Ceremony in La Citadelle. For dining and dancing, browse Rue St. Paul's or the Grande Allée, the Champs Élysées of Québec.

Outside of the city center, the Aquarium of Quebéc and the Montmorency Falls offers hours of family entertainment.

Founded in 1608 as a fur trading colony, Quebec City quickly became an administrative center is now the capital of Quebec Province.

The Upper Town, which is also known as Haute-Village, was originally developed for its military advantage and features the defensive Citadel as well as some of the city's most breathtakingly beautiful and iconic landmarks, like the Chateau Frontenac and the City Fortifications.

On our last day in Quebec, we woke up super early in order to fit in one last site before our long drive back home. We packed up our stuff, ate the last of our breakfast foods and hopped in the car to drive to Montmorency falls. Montmorency falls is about a 15 minute drive from Quebec City and there is a bus you can take if you are travelling without a car, although if you are travelling in winter like us, the bus is running less, so you may need a car or cab.
We arrived at the falls around 8am and parked in the lot at the top of the falls. In winter you do not need to pay to park, but in summer it is enforced. We hopped out of our car and walked the short distance to the first clearing. From here you can get your first glimpses of the beautiful tall falls. Montmorency falls is 83 metres high, making it taller than Niagara Falls! The cascade is beautiful, and surrounded by the fall leaves, the views were absolutely breathtaking! We then walked along the pathway that takes you right to the falls. The walk is very brief, taking us about 10 minutes at most. When you reach the falls there is a small viewing platform to the right, where you can zipline in the summer months. This viewing platform affords you the best view of the falls, and a view straight down the base of the falls as well. When we were there, there were climate activists hanging a large banner over the falls on the suspension bridge. After taking a lot of photos at the viewing platform, we made our way up to the suspension bridge. This bridge was the highlight of the visit for me, despite the biting wind and chilly November air! We spent quite a bit of time watching the top of the falls from the suspension bridge vantage point. In total we spent about 45 minutes at the falls which was sufficient. We were unable to take the cable car down to the base of the falls because we visited in winter, so if you want to see the falls from the base as well, you might want to allow more time.
Afterwards we walked back to our car to start the 11 hour drive back home.
