This place is just 3 hours from Guayaquil. we went here during holiday but there was not a lot of people. you can see it in the video, very near Puerto Lopez and Puerto Cayo but not crowded unlike the the 2 pñace I mentioned.

After a month of city life it was time to embrace the the rolling hills of LOJA, ECUADOR. The main problem is...well, the hills are kind of big and I'm kind of unfit.
JIMBILLA is a small town north east of the city centre of LOJA. It was about an hour drive to get to the location through enormous hills and stunning scenery. After we ate some much needed breakfast we started out 6 hour (round trip) trek to MONTE CRISTI water fall and then to the top of a hill which seemed to forever be out of our grasp. Bottom line this was straight up one of the best treks I had ever been on and this includes tours I have been on in CAMBODIA, VIETNAM, CHINA and INDONISIA.
The entire trip cost $13, this price included the guided and transportation and it was excellent value for money. The guides were excellent and very patient with me. I would highly reccomend tracking them down and booking a tour if you are ever in Loja city. Please find the face book page below:
