More information: The Trinity Lavra of St. Sergius (Russian: Тро́ице-Се́ргиева Ла́вра) is the most important Russian monastery and the spiritual centre of the Russian Orthodox Church. The monastery is situated in the town of Sergiyev Posad, about 70 km to the north-east from Moscow by the road leading to Yaroslavl, and currently is home to over 300 monks. The monastery was founded in 1337 by one of the most venerated Russian saints, Sergius of Radonezh, who built a wooden church in honour of the Holy Trinity on Makovets Hill. Early development of the monastic community is well documented in contemporary lives of Sergius and his disciples.

REAL DIVING ACCIDENT CAUGHT ON CAMERA - Emergency ascent from 18 m

Emergency ascent from 18 m (60 ft.) with only 200 psi left.
What happened: While we were drift diving at Playa del Carmen (Mexico), my father got too absorbed with filming a turtle and forgot to check his air gauge. Due to the strong current, he got quickly separated from our group. He only realized that he was low on air when his breathing became difficult. Although he thought he was completely out of air, he actually still had about 200-300 psi left. The problem is that he was not wearing his eyeglasses and when he saw the gauge in the red zone (less than 500 psi), he wrongly assumed the tank was empty (he could not see the numbers clearly). He tried to attract our attention, but nobody saw or heard him! He than bolted for the surface. After a while, we realized he was missing... Terrified, I tried to swim against the current to go back and look for him (not a good idea). The divemaster signalled me to reunite with the group, but I was too upset to obey. After a while, my decreasing air supply forced me to return to the group and ascend. In the mean time, my dad was alone at the surface, having drifted a considerable distance. After about 10 minutes, a boat spotted him. Everything finished well, but the whole experience could have ended really badly. Thank God for keeping my dad alive! Let this be a lesson for other novice divers.

The Atlantis Sanya resort in south China's Hainan Province set a new Guinness World Records on Wednesday for the largest underwater mermaid show.
Following the largest ever underwater mermaid show, representatives from the Guinness World Records issued the certificate to Atlantis Sanya reading that the largest underwater mermaid show was achieved by Atlantis Sanya.
Partnered with the Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI), Atlantis Sanya had 110 professional divers in mermaid costumes swimming with the fishes in its 11-meter deep Ambassador Lagoon aquarium, doing various underwater stunts in front of a live audience.
Sanya, where the resort is located, is the southernmost city on the tropical province of Hainan, and a popular tourist destination, attracting visitors all year round with its ocean scenery and sandy beaches.

Alex Davis Dives Into His Love Of Barbados
Alex Davis’ love of the sea gets deeper with every dive he takes into Barbados’ sparkling blue waters.
