For example, a lot of dirty graffiti from ancient times. You can also expect some magnificent views from the road up Mount Vesuvius - and from the peak.

The train is by far the best, most relaxed and probably also the most affordable way to visit the ruins of Pompeii from the city of Napels in Italy, from where on you have a great connection on domestic long distance trains. In this video I'll take the main line trains of Trenitalia on one way and the other way I'll take the EAV / Circumvesuviana what is a much more obvious train to take to visit the ruins of Pompeii.

In der Altstadt von Minturno / in the historic center of Minturno
Das mittelalterliche Viertel von Minturno liegt auf einer Bergkuppe, immer wieder genießt man einen herrlichen Ausblick auf das Mittelmeer. Trotz dass die Kriegsschäden bis heute noch nicht vollständig beseitigt werden konnten und den vielen leerstehenden Häusern, lohnt sich Bummel durch die Altstadtgassen - abseits des Bade- und Massentourismus. Im Zentrum steht außerdem die kunsthistorisch hochinteressante Kathedrale San Pietro.
In Minturno gibt es einen Bahnhof, der sich zwischen Scauri (dem Badeort) und Minturno befindet. Regionalzüge in Richtung Formia, Latina und Rom sowie in Richtung Neapel halten etwa stündlich am Bahnhof Minturno-Scauri.
Gute Busverbindungen durch das landesweite Verkehrsunternehmen Compagnia Trasporti Laziali Spa, oder durch das lokale Busunternehmen Autoservizi Riccitelli, bestehen nach Formia, Terracina, Santi Cosma e Damiano, Fondi, Monte San Biagio, Itri und Cassino.
Zentrale Bushaltestellen befinden sich im Altstadtbereich auf der Via Cadorna, am Bahnhof und in Scauri auf der Via Appia.
In Italien müssen die Fahrkarten in den Tabacchi-Geschäften an den zentralen Bushaltestellen gekauft werden !!!
The medieval district of Minturno is located on a hilltop, repeatedly enjoy a magnificent view of the Mediterranean Sea. Even if the war losses was not possible to completely removed, until today, and there are many vacant houses - but a stroll through the historic center is still worth - away from the bath and mass tourism. In the center is also the highly interesting Cathedral of San Pietro.
In Minturno is a railway station, located between Minturno and Scauri (the seaside resort). Regional trains in direction Formia, Latina, Rome and Naples stops at the station hourly.
Bus connections by the nationwide transport company Compagnia Trasporti Spa Laziali, or by the local bus company autoservizi Riccitelli, consist to Formia, Terracina, Santi Cosma e Damiano, Fondi, Monte San Biagio, Itri and Cassino.
Central bus stops are located in the Old Town area on the Via Cadorna, at the train station and in Scauri on the Via Appia.
However in Italy, the tickets must be bought in the Tabacchi shops at the central bus stations.
