Saint Lucia is the ultimate honeymoon destination. It has the most beautiful nature and is the absolute highlight in the middle of the Caribbean. There is also plenty to do for backpackers and traveling families. In this video I show you why every traveler should visit Saint Lucia at least once: it's just a place that can hardly be beat!
After Saint Lucia we visit many more gems in the Caribbean. Whether they will match with Saint Lucia remains to be seen! With the best views of the gigantic pitons, overnight stays in tree houses in the middle of the jungle and the most beautiful snow-white beaches, Saint Lucia is high on the list of the most beautiful islands in the world. We sleep in Soufrière, visit the Diamond Waterfalls, hike the Tet Paul Nature Trail and visit the beaches Anse Chastanet, Sugar Beach and Jalousie Plantation Beach. From the west, we drive our small jeep through the rainforest to the south and east, before relaxing at an all-inclusive resort in the north.
This year we travel all over the world and after the Canary Islands, Oman, Cape Verde and Martinique, Saint Lucia is our fifth destination. Follow us on this world tour, first in the Caribbean and then to many more beautiful destinations! We travel non-stop all year round and film everything. This was an amazing trip for my Queen's Birthday. St Lucia blew our minds with spectacular views, waterfalls, amazing food, beautiful sights, and adventure. To get into St Lucia as a vaccinated traveler this past summer, we needed a negative COVID-19 test within the last 5 days and a completed travel authorization form before landing. (***CHECK CDC WEBSITE FOR COVID-19 TESTING REQUIREMENT UPDATES FOR VACCINATED AND UNVACCINATED TRAVELERS HEADING BACK INTO THE US: ). Saint Lucia as a tourist is very expensive as many resorts start at over $1,000 USD per day. See the World, Save a Dollar is the motto and it was difficult to do it on this trip. We did so much and stayed within our budget of $1,200 for 5 days including flights, accommodations, food, attractions, and souvenirs.

Welcome to Soufriere, St. Lucia! This beautiful town is located on the west coast of the island, and it's known for its stunning scenery, including the Pitons, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Here are some of the things you can do in Soufriere:
Visit the Sulphur Springs, a geothermal area with hot springs, mud pools and steam vents.
Hike to the top of Gros Piton, a 2,600-foot (792-meter) volcano peak.
Take a boat trip to Sugar Beach, a secluded beach with crystal-clear waters
Go on a chocolate tour at the Rabot Estate, a working cocoa plantation.
Relax at one of the many resorts or spas in the area.
Soufriere is a great place to relax and enjoy the beauty of St. Lucia. Be sure to book your stay early, as this popular destination fills up quickly.

In this video we explore the Ma Lenton River in Dugard, Micoud where there is a vertical shaft through the ground that allows one to disappear from the river bed below and re-appear 50 feet above the river. It is clear that this shaft is man-made and through an understanding of our history it is fair to surmise that this shaft was created by the freedom Fighters who rejected slavery and waged guerilla warfare against the European colonizers.
Bringing stories such as this to light is important in helping us appreciate the ingenuity and resilience of our forebears. By seeing them in such positive light we can find greater value in ourselves. By exploring and showcasing our history from the perspective of those persons whose stories have never been told a fresh new light is shone on who we really are, and this can be powerfully cathartic.

SPLASH ISLAND WATER PARK | Reduit Beach | Rodney Bay St Lucia | Saint Lucia Attractions
Splash Island Water Park offered so many obstacles to flip off of, jump over, run through, and balance on! It felt like we were starring on the show American Ninja Warrior. Truly as fun as it looks! (When you wipe out -like we did manyyy times- at least you're splashing into the warm, beautiful Caribbean water.)
When we started searching for things to do in St. Lucia, this was not originally on our list. However, Splash Island turned out to be one of the top attractions of our Caribbean vacation! It is ~1.5-hour drive from Soufriere located at Reduit Beach in Rodney Bay St Lucia, and well worth the visit.
We stayed at Splash Island for an hour and this was the perfect amount of time for us. I highly recommend this water park for anyone visiting with kids or just looking for fun in St. Lucia!

In this episode we will sail to Saint Lucia, a tropical paradise island in the Caribbean Sea. This is also a new country for me, with wild nature and amazingly crazy beautiful palm trees and seaside. We are staying in Marigot Bay and I will discover all the surroundings. In the small villages I also meet some local Caribbean people, you will also hear a little bit of the local language Creole and in the end of the video you will see me climb up to the Gros Piton of Saint Lucia.

With the best views of the gigantic pitons, overnight stays in tree houses in the middle of the jungle and the most beautiful snow-white beaches, Saint Lucia is high on the list of the most beautiful islands in the world. We sleep in Soufrière, visit the Diamond Waterfalls, hike the Tet Paul Nature Trail and visit the beaches Anse Chastanet, Sugar Beach and Jalousie Plantation Beach. From the west, we drive our small jeep through the rainforest to the south and east, before relaxing at an all-inclusive resort in the north.

This is the video of our trip to St. Lucia, a beautiful island in the Caribbean. We visit the the town of Soufriere on the south western side of the island that is right inside the crater of a live volcano and take a fascinating tour of the exposed crater.
