Arriving in Suchitoto (2019) Restaurant with the best views - Backpacking El Salvador
In this episode we arrive in the town of Suchitoto in El Salvador. We head to a restaurant called Casa 1800 , which has the most awesome views over lake Suchitlan. In fact we think it may be the best view we have ever seen from a restaurant. Not only does it have amazing views it also had the most delicious food - so make sure you visit Casa 1800 if you do stay in Suchitoto.
We stayed at the most wonderful hotel called Casa Hotel Santa Lucia. Located right on the main square in Suchitoto it is the perfect location to explore the town and soak up the atmosphere.

Ruta de las Flores (2019) ATACO & Ahuachapan | EL SALVADOR Travel Guide | Vlog Series
We continue our journey along the Ruta de las Flores here in El Salvador. We arrive in Ahuachapan and spend a day visiting the town of Ataco and enjoy some great coffee and local street food, as we continue exploring El Salvador.
The Ruta de las Flores is a picturesque route, about 20 miles long, in the coffee growing region of El Salvador. The route takes you though lovely villages and is a must if you come to El Salvador.
We spent a few weeks travelling around various parts of El Salvador and if you have heard El Salvador is dangerous and not safe, then from our perspective as tourists we had a fabulous time. El Salvador is full of wonderful kind people who made us feel very welcome and at no point did we feel unsafe.

Explorando el Centro Histórico de San Salvador - Parte 1
Que tal amigos bienvenidos Viajando con Schumy, en esta ocasión iniciamos una nueva sección llamada EXPLORANDO donde publicare vistas aéreas de nuestro querido El Salvador, todas las vistas y videos publicados son grabaciones mías con drone o cámara por lo que espero te gusten y dejes tu like y te suscribas al canal para poder generar más contenido como este.
San Salvador como veras ha cambiado mucho en los últimos años, acá podrás apreciar lo nuevo y como se ve desde el aire el centro histórico de San Salvador, mucho a cambiado en cuanto a calles y ordenamiento, de hecho a la fecha que se grabó este video habían nuevas áreas desalojadas de vendedores y chalets en las aceras lo que hará que la zona mejore su apariencia y acceso vehicular logrando también que más edificios se sumen a las iniciativas de mejora para que nuestro centro histórico se recupere poco a poco. We visited El Salvador for the first time. It was difficult to keep aside the media stories and words of caution from friends around the world about visiting the country. However, we had also heard about the changing conditions of traveling in El Salvador and wanted to witness and tell those stories. Hence, here is our collection of first impressions and experiences in the coastal towns of El Salvador - El Zonte and El Tunco.
Our experiences began right at the San Salvador Airport, with the friendly officials (immigration, airport security, customs), and continued wherever we traveled in the country. We will keep sharing our experiences in our next videos and shorts.

Thermal Hot Springs & Bug Wall Installation in Ahuachapan, El Salvador (376)
This was our first day in El Salvador. We found a secure spot right above a thermal hot spring and waterfall. It was hot out too so we had to wait for the sunset to really enjoy it. We also had some sweet visitors!

Visit to School of Special Education Mejicanos, El Salvador

I visited the School of Special Education of Mejicanos, El Salvador, in February 2011. I was there mainly to do some research on the current status of Disability Rights (Intellectual Disabilities) in El Salvador, taking the school as a case study. However, I thought it would be a good idea to make a small but meaningful donation to the school. So I organized (with the help of some friends and teaching staff) a Bake Sale. We raised enough money to buy school supplies that will allow the school to keep their workshops running during the school year, such as their Arts Workshop.
It was a great experience, I fell in love with the school an the cause. I have kept in touch with the principal of the school, as I intend to start my own organization that will run mostly during the summer to promote the rights of people with disability in El Salvador, as well as some fundraising events!

As some of you may know, my homeland is the great country of El Salvador and this summer I had the chance to visit once more! I took an adventure out to Calle al Boquerón km 16, Santa Tecla, El Salvador at Picnic Steakhouse. This restaurant isn't just any regular restaurant – they're most known for their fun rainbow slide called Imagine Slide. In today's video, you'll get to ride along with me as I drop down and tube through this colorful slide with amazing views, along with a quick food review and tour of the site with endless photo opportunities. Iglesia El Rosario in San Salvador, El Salvador
Since 1971, El Rosario church is a religious heritage of Salvadorans as one of the last churches built in the capital, which retains a modern architectural design, enriched with European influence and unique to the continent.
Located in front of Libertad Park is a building that measures 24 meters wide and 80 long whose shape is oval without columns, with 22 meters high.
Initially, this site supported the historic Parish Church of San Salvador, whose builder was the presbyter and hero of independence José Matías Delgado in the eighteenth century. It is said that the building was based on wood but, unfortunately, was consumed by a fire, which is why the architect and sculptor Rubén Martínez, designed an innovative building in 1962.
Martinez is the creator of important monuments in the country, such as the Plaza de la Constitución, the Monument to Peace, and other architectural works.
In comparison to other temples, the church does not have pillars that hinder the visibility of the faithful towards the altar and the colorful religious images that stand out inside.
Every visitor will appreciate its unique concrete walls, arched by numerous stained glass windows that color the interior of the temple, visual elements that give an incredible richness to the capital's sunsets. Its shape is more that of an aircraft hangar than that of a traditional church
In addition, this extraordinary building keeps a stylized via crucis made of black iron forged on cement and pumice stone elaborated in an extraordinary way that provokes the artistic contemplation of each of the pieces.
To date, in El Rosario church rest the remains of heroes like the Aguilar brothers (Nicolás, Vicente and Manuel), elements that make this temple a Cultural Property protected by the Hague Convention and consecrated as a Historic Site according to the decree # 38 of the Legislative Assembly in 1972.
In addition, this temple is recognized as one of the iconic buildings of the Historic Center of San Salvador, not only for the relevant events, but for its unique architectural design that represents an important artistic manifestation of our impressive El Salvador.
