In today's Hungary travel vlog, we discuss 5 Things You Should NEVER Do in Hungary and Don't Do This in Budapest.
There are a few other posts about Hungary: 25 Things to do in Budapest, Hungary Travel Guide, DO'S AND DON’T IN HUNGARY, Visit Budapest - Five Things You Will Love & Hate about Budapest, Hungary, and 3 Crazy Things About BUDAPEST. But none really touch on the things you should never do in Hungary. So I decided to make this travel vlog!
This isn't a complete list of what not to do in Hungary , just some things I observed from my recent trip to Budapest, Hungary. If you are Hungarian, a Hungarian expat, or living in Hungary and you have any other suggestions of things related to the topic of don't do this in Hungary , make sure you comment below. Make sure you also try Palinka! Palinka is a fruit brandy! If offered Palinka it is rude to turn it down.
Hungary tourism is a big driver of the Hungarian economy, so they do overlook somethings that tourist do, but try to respect the cultural differences when you travel Hungary.
Hopefully you can use this to supplement your Hungary travel guide advice and not be viewed as a rude tourist.
I love Hungary - don't let the rules or culture differences keep you from visiting. Just be mindful of those cultural differences and enjoy this awesome country.
5 Things You Should Never Do In Hungary
Let me start off by saying, if I had to recommend just one city in Europe to visit it would probably be Budapest. It’s got everything, old world charm but in a modern city, the architecture is amazing and exactly what you think of when you think European city, it’s very safe, the food is amazing and it’s soooo affordable compared to comparable cities.
1 - Never clink glasses or bottles together. There was a revolution in Hungary in 1848 that was defeated. Legend has it that Austrians celebrated in Vienna by toasting and clinking their glasses. Hungarians vowed not to cheers with glasses for 150 years. While that time frame ended in 1998 - many Hungarians still do not cheers! It was actually against the law until the mid 1990s!
2 - Never make the Hungry Hungary joke to a Hungarian. It’s one of those things that non Hungarians say to Hungarians and well….it’s just not funny. Don’t do that!!!!
3 - Never forget to tip. After spending 8 months in countries where tipping isn’t customary and sometimes considered offensive, I often forget to tip! In Budapest and Hungary in general tipping is customary. The acceptable tipping rate is around 15%. Side note: Don’t say thank you until you’ve paid your tab. Saying thank you when you pay your tab lets the server know you’re done and you don’t expect any change. So make sure you don’t do that if you want change back.
4 - Never refuse Palinka. Palinka is a fruit brandy that is a favorite with Hungarians. Hungarians like to say Palinka in small amounts is medicine, in large amounts a remedy! You don’t drink Palinka alone - it’s a drink Hungarians have with friends. It’s is a big no-no to turn down Palinka if it’s offered to you.
5 - Never say Buda-PEST. That’s the quickest way to get on a Hungarian’s bad side. It’s Buddah - PESHT. Side note: DONT CALL IT Bucharest! That’s in Romania! I made that mistake…didn’t turn out well for me! In my defense I had one to many Palinka!!!!

В этом видео хочу показать настоящие Афины. Что можно посмотреть и куда пойти в столице Греции.
Для многих Афины - это перевалочный пункт к греческим островам, а мне вот очень понравился город и я сюда еще вернусь!
Надеюсь, что в ролике я смог передать свое отношение к городу. Здесь есть красивая старая архитектура, шикарные смотровые, море, парки с попугаями, хороший климат (для зимы), растут апельсины и лимоны, добрые люди, вкусная еда, атмосферные районы и так далее и так далее.

INSANE Traffic Jam on Tibetan Plateau | S2, EP46
In this video, Flo and me are first visiting Labrang Monastery which has the largest community of Tibetan monks outside of Tibet. The area around the monastery is also widely inhabited by Hui muslims.
We then headed further south towards Sichuan Province where we got stuck in an insane traffic jam for several hours on the Tibetan Plateau. In the late evening, we finally reached Langmusi, a village on the borderline of Sichuan and Gansu Provinces characterized by its monasteries and mosques as well as its insane history.
So, get the popcorn ready and join us on this adventure on the Tibetan Plateau :)

Tanjong Pagar is a historic district located within the Central Business District in Singapore, spanning the areas between Chinatown and Marina Bay. The name Tanjong Pagar translates as cape of stakes, a reference to its origins as a fishing village.
Tanjong Pagar is known for its rich history and is marked by a diverse range of architecture, from shophouses to modern skyscrapers. The district was traditionally a stronghold of the shipping industry due to its proximity to the ports, but it has since developed into a prominent area for business, retail, and residential uses.
One of the most iconic landmarks in Tanjong Pagar is the Tanjong Pagar Railway Station, a grand structure built in 1932 that served as the southern terminus of the Malayan Railway. As of my knowledge cutoff in 2021, the station has ceased operations but stands as a preserved building with potential for future redevelopment.
Apart from historical structures, Tanjong Pagar is home to Singapore's tallest building, the Guoco Tower. This skyscraper comprises premium offices, a luxury hotel, residential apartments, and retail space.
Tanjong Pagar is also renowned for its food scene, offering a variety of cuisines in hawker centres, cafes, and restaurants. Some popular local dishes include Hainanese chicken rice, laksa, and satay.
In terms of residential living, Tanjong Pagar boasts a combination of modern high-rise apartments and traditional shophouses. The district is well-connected to the rest of Singapore by an extensive public transportation network, which includes the Tanjong Pagar MRT station.

Grecka wyspa Kos to nie tylko piękne piaszczyste plaże i miejsce narodzin ojca medycyny Hipokratesa, ale przede wszystkim namacalne archiwum historii na Morzu Egejskim, zaś mieszanka kultur Grecji i Turcji pozwala nam w pigułce poczuć atmosferę tych dwóch państw. Budapest-Come sfruttare al meglio 4 giorni in questa stupenda capitale (anche con figli a seguito!)!
Quattro giorni nella capitale ungherese dove abbiamo cercato di alternare le visite turistiche al divertimento (siamo stati in tre stabilimenti termali diversi!), così da non annoiare troppo i ragazzi e rendere questo viaggio pieno di ricordi divertenti e piacevoli.

Il Qì-gong è la scienza che insegna a coltivare l'energia interna del corpo. Il termine cinese Qì (氣) definisce l'Energia che controlla il corpo e la mente, mentre gong (功) significa Esercizio o controllo ottenuto attraverso il tempo e lo sforzo. Il termine Qì-gong (Cinese: 氣功) si riferisce dunque ad un tipo di esercizi di natura bio-energetica, che pongono il corpo psicofisico in una condizione di allineamento tra le energie individuali e quelle cosmiche, condizione in sé stessa rigenerante, in quanto l'essere vivente non è mai enucleabile dall'ambiente in cui vive, che costituisce invece la fonte costante delle sue risorse. Il Qì-gong mette in connessione il Qì dell'organismo con l`energia universale della natura. Il Qì del corpo lo si favorisce con una salubre cucina vegetariana, con la concentrazione e con una mente lucida, libera da pensieri opprimenti. Il Qì può svilupparsi solo quando il cuore è in pace. Solo così si può liberare il proprio Qì e mantenere il corpo sano.

Durante questo Campus, insieme all'apprendimento del Sistema di Shaolin Qi-Gong Yi-Jin-Xi-Sui-Gong Sutra della trasformazione muscolare e purificazione del midollo, si studierà anche metodo di Shaolin Dao-Yin di autogestione della salute, della forma e della bellezza basato su tecniche di fisiomassaggio dei meridiani del viso e del corpo; sul lavoro Cranio Sacrale ; sul massaggio emozionale dei chakra e l`automassaggio antistress e sarà curata la pratica spirituale attraverso la pratica della Meditazione Chan (definita anche kung-fu del silenzio), il più antico metodo Shaolin di rigenerazione che costituisce l'aspetto fondamentale del programma di formazione dei monaci-guerrieri.

Infine, poichè oltre a cio che pensiamo diventiamo e siamo anche ciò che mangiamo, incluso nel Campus viene offerta la pratica di gruppo di armonizzazione emozionale tramite metodi di Riequilibrio energetico di grande e comprovata efficacia e la possibilità di imparare a cucinare in maniera sana, consapevole e vegana (senza uso prodotti animali).

Festival delle Lanterne a Daegu
Immersi dalla natura, la cultura e il fascino delle lanterne alla notte.
Oggi facciamo una passeggiata al parco dove si tengono annualmente i festeggiamenti dell'anniversario della nascita di Buddha.
La data varia di anno in anni in base al calendario cinese, pero' generalmente si svolge sempre a maggio.
Il momento piu' caratteristico e' quando vengono rilasciate le lanterne alimentate da una fiammella.
Pratica un po' pericolosa ma finora svolta senza particolari problemi.
