MAP OF ZAMBIA

greetings my friends. this is a map of Zambia. Zambia is drained by two major river basins: the Zambezi/Kafue basin in the center, west, and south covering about three-quarters of the country; and the Congo basin in the north covering about one-quarter of the country. A very small area in the northeast forms part of the internal drainage basin of Lake Rukwa in Tanzania.

In the Zambezi basin, there are a number of major rivers flowing wholly or partially through Zambia: the Kabompo, Lungwebungu, Kafue, Luangwa, and the Zambezi itself, which flows through the country in the west and then forms its southern border with Namibia, Botswana and Zimbabwe. Its source is in Zambia but it diverts into Angola, and a number of its tributaries rise in Angola's central highlands. The edge of the Cuando River floodplain forms Zambia's southwestern border, and via the Chobe River that river contributes very little water to the Zambezi because most are lost by evaporation.

Two of the Zambezi's longest and largest tributaries, the Kafue and the Luangwa, flow mainly in Zambia. Their confluences with the Zambezi are on the border with Zimbabwe at Chirundu and Luangwa town respectively. Before its confluence, the Luangwa River forms part of Zambia's border with Mozambique. From Luangwa town, the Zambezi leaves Zambia and flows into Mozambique, and eventually into the Mozambique Channel.

The Zambezi falls about 100 metres over the 1.6-kilometre-wide Victoria Falls, located in the southwest corner of the country, subsequently flowing into Lake Kariba. The Zambezi valley, running along the southern border, is both deep and wide. From Lake Kariba going east, it is formed by grabens and like the Luangwa, Mweru-Luapula, Mweru-wa-Ntipa and Lake Tanganyika valleys, is a rift valley.

The north of Zambia is very flat with broad plains. In the west the most notable being the Barotse Floodplain on the Zambezi, which floods from December to June, lagging behind the annual rainy season (typically November to April). The flood dominates the natural environment and the lives, society, and culture of the inhabitants and those of other smaller, floodplains throughout the country. thats all. please comment and subscribe for the best maps. goodbye.

#zambia #zambiannews #mapschool #mapsolo #petamap #cartemap #mapamap #kartemap

VISITING Zambia and Flying Over the World's Largest Waterfall | Travel Vlog

Zambia is one of the most tourist friendly countries to travel to in Africa. And with Victoria Falls being located on the border of Zambia and Zimbabwe, there are so many things to do. In this video, I visit Livingstone Zambia and visit the world famous waterfall. And then I fly over the waterfall in a microlight (kinda like a flying go-cart). If you're looking for nature and adventure in Africa, Livingstone should be at the top of your list.

VLOG: Solo Road trip from Lusaka to Monze Southern Province of Zambia. #HighvieHamududu'sMotherland

Monze is a small town (population 30,000) in the Southern Province of Zambia and is about 180 km south-west of Lusaka. It is the administrative centre of Monze District.[1]

The town is named after Chief Monze, widely acknowledged as the spiritual leader of the Tonga people who inhabit the district. His palace is south of the town near a place called Gonde where a ceremony called Lwiindi takes place. This annual festival is a thanksgiving ceremony which attracts many people from around the country.

Monze is a rapidly urbanising town with growth extending along the railway lines and T1 highway. The town is divided into neighbourhoods known locally as ‘compounds’. There is a substantial open-air market in Monze and a small but growing range of agri-dealerships, shops, bars and restaurants.

The main industry in the district is agriculture, with maize being the most important crop. At one point in the past, the district used to produce more than 25% of the maize crop in Zambia. It was popularly known as the 'home of Zambia's granary'. Although its status as the leading maize producer has declined over the years, the most prominent feature in the town is still the Swedish built grain silos to the north of the town. Although these have been disused for a number of years. As with much of Southern Province, Monze has struggled with drought in recent years - crippling the agrarian economy and leading to significant food price increases.

The town has a significant Seventh Day Adventist presence, although many other Christian denominations are represented. There is also a very small but growing Islamic minority in the town.

Local Tourism sites of significance include: The Mooring Campsite, Family Safari (off the T1), the beautiful Magoye reservoir, and the derelict remnants of Fort Monze.

Driving through Mazabuka to Livingstone city.

Mazabuka is best know for its sugar Plantation the Nakambala sugar Estate the Home of Zambian sugar.

The Kafue / Mazabuka Road One of Zambia's finest Roads at the moment

Driving along this Road from Turn-Park Kafue to Mazabuka will make your driving expression memorable. This Road is one of the finest roads at the moment in Zambia

DANGEROUS SCENIC roads of Zambia |S2EP21|

I'm leaving Sinazeze and the lake Kariba to head East again. Next stopover: the sweetest town of Mazabuka. I love the road to get there although very very challenging. I can't see cars but mostly huge packed trucks driving on destroyed roads. I'm impressed but also worried and wondering...
After hours focusing on potholes and other hectic elements on the road, I reach Mazabuka by the end of the day. I already love the vibes of this town which literally means 'to cross over the river' in a local Tonga language.
I couldn't see me driving more so I decided to withdraw some cash and to find a place to park Rafiki. A restaurant accepted me to park the Hilux and to spend a night on their premises. I enjoyed this time to treat me with a nice pieace of chicken and some fries at the restaurant. I met some locals who invited me to watch a football game. I had an amazing -and short- night. The next morning, I'm full of good energy and I cannot stop singing and dancing in the car. I stop to buy some fresh fruits and veggies at the ladies on the road, and spent some time with them joking. Zambians are definitely one of my favourite humans now! Okay, let's hit the road again to the North East part of lake Kariba: to Siavonga. I'm amazed by the beauty of the landscape but shocked to see so many cars burnt and completely destroyed along the road. When suddenly, I witness a terrible accident between a massive truck and a small car. I am shocked. Zambia is beautiful but definitely dangerous when it comes to driving around...
