MOST INSANE ROADTRIP Ever Done in Kenya! 2,400km Jade Sea Expedition! Part 1

The Jade Sea Expedition was the most insane, most insidious, most daring, most epic roadtrip ever attempted in Kenya!

A 9 days' off-road adventure circumnavigating the Lake Turkana from its eastern shores into Ethiopia and to the western shores of Lake Turkana.

This 2,400kms off-road expedition took on the treacherous backroads of the Northern Kenya's most beautiful yet inhospitable landscapes and crossing into Southern Ethiopia and back to Kenya. Over 1,000kms of the trip was offroad!

It tested the drivers' 4x4 driving and mechanical skills, endurance, courage, stamina, perseverance and resilience against the Northern Kenya nature.

Tempers flared, while lasting friendships got forged!

Plus a Subaru Forester XT, Nissan X-trail and Suzuki Jimny, all successfully completed the trip under the stewardship of The Mara Nomads!

Kenya's Trendiest Destination: Moyale Town's Elegance and Style

Moyale: A town where there is no FOOD for guest at but plenty of cute women!!
#kenya #ethiopia #kinovyes #moyale #travel #destination #top10places #travild #iammarwa #baldandbankrupt #kenyanews #news #vlog #city #nairobi #marsabit
In this video, we dive into Documentary: Journey through the Streets of Moyale - Part 1
Welcome to Moyale, a vibrant city nestled on the border between Ethiopia and Kenya. In Ethiopia, Moyale serves as the administrative center for two diverse regions, Oromia and Somali. On the Kenyan side, it stands as the largest town in Marsabit County, proudly claiming its status as the capital of Moyale sub-county.
@FaysalShaik1 @KinoYves @iammarwa
Geography and Border Crossing:
Situated along the southern escarpment of the Borana Plateau, Moyale offers a unique blend of traditional architecture and a rich cultural tapestry. It's not just a town; it's a significant checkpoint on the Nairobi-Addis Ababa road. In June 2021, Moyale witnessed the initiation of commercial operations at the one-stop border post (OSBP), a groundbreaking development in cross-border facilitation.

This OSBP, the first for Ethiopia, streamlines processes by bringing officials from both countries under one roof. Here, they collaboratively handle immigration, customs, revenue collection, and health clearance, offering a seamless experience for passengers and cargo. This innovative approach not only enhances efficiency but also saves valuable time.

Ethnic Diversity:
Moyale is a mosaic of ethnicities, with the Borana Oromo comprising the majority, followed by the Garre, Burji, Amhara, Degoodi Somali, Welayta, and Silt'e communities. Language paints another layer of diversity, with Oromo dominating as the first language spoken by over half of Moyale's residents. Somali, Burji, Welayta, and Silt'e find their place as the second most spoken languages, adding a symphony of voices to the town's vibrant atmosphere.

Climate and Transportation:
Moyale's climate, characterized as hot semi-arid (Köppen BSh), bears the signature of East Africa. The two distinct rainy seasons, the long rains from March to May and the short rains in October and Novembe

The Diminishing Lake Paradise, Marsabit County, Kenya

Diminishing Lake Paradise

Part of Mount Marsabit forest showing shrinking Lake Paradise The lowlands of Marsabit County begins from about a 20 kilometre radius around the mountain, extending to about 500 kilometres to the furthest corner of the County.
Marsabit Mountain and forest can rightly be described as an oases and important water tower compared to the arid and semi-arid areas of Northern Kenya.
The runoff water drains into the Chalbi desert to the west and the Lorian Swamp to the east of Marsabit town.
But increased boreholes sinking, charcoal burning, overgrazing and over population are threats facing the Paradise but still an oasis of green in arid north Kenya.

They Lied About The North!! Top Place To Visit In Kenya! | Full Documentary

For the next few videos, we’ll explore the immense and endless surprises of Northern Kenya and highlight amazing places to visit in Kenya.

Kenya is BEAUTIFUL! First time Nairobian experiencing Marsabit - The Heartbeat of Paradise

Marsabit is like Mars A Bit - pun intended. Perceived by many to be an extensive wasteland covered by bare rock and thirsty dirt and vast ranges and craters blistering the uneven ground - At least that is what I thought at first and I can comfortably say that I've never been further from the truth on that!

Let's face it - Most of us have driven on open roads with our windows down and the wind between our hair. Fine. But I am not sure how many of us have been chased by ostriches or seen Greater Kudus like it was a random animal everyone is used to. The Nairobi Expressway is one thing to drive on BUT if you haven't driven on the Great A2, what are you even doing with your life?

Well, that is what you get when you visit Marsabit. And of course we'll check those boxes - Yes, there is a rumoured armed militia roving around; yes, the army has checkpoints all over; and yes, you will probably have an out-of-body experience while driving twice the speed limit but what you will get in exchange is serene, unrivalled natural beauty, from the fragrant forests to the desolate deserts, misty mountains to the perpetual plains - there is a lot to behold.

With a few days to the Kenya General Election 2022, is Marsabit safe? Let's find out from this Nairobian.
