Welcome to Marijampolė, Lithuanian city perfect for a stop while driving through Via Baltica highway. Capital of historical Suvalkija region Marijampolė greets its visitors with an amazing synergy of old and new. City's old town is decorated with contemporary art murals from the yearly international festival Malonny. At the same time the city is famous for its Marian monastery and the basilica of St. Michael the archangel. What a contrast ????
Outside the city there also is some beautiful nature at Žuvintas Biosphere Reserve, with 2 cognitive trails available. ????????????
Unfortunately I've lost most of the footage from Bukta trail, but I promise you that it's awesome place for a walk for nature lovers! ????????????

THE MOST COLORFUL CITY IN LITHUANIA?! Marijampole Lithuania
A few weeks ago I visited the beautiful town of Marijampole near Kaunas Lithuania. A lot of people told me that if I loved street art and I loved colorful cities, then I absolutely HAD to visit Marijampole.
They were right! This city is covered in street art and art that really makes you think. I can't wait to go back!

What tourists should not do when they visit Lithuania. From the superstitions to the beautiful nature to the food that looks like medicine there are some definite do's and don'ts of visiting Lithuania or Lietuva in Lithuanian. So, if you are heading to the beaches of Palanga, the capital Vilnius, or the port city of Klaipeda here are things that tourists should know and watch out for when they visit Lithuania.

Pakruojis manor and district travel guide | Lithuania
Welcome to Pakruojis - the time machine to 19 century in Lithuania. While the district is small, it is very well known around the country for its large manor house - which is almost like a theme park for old times.
The manor probably best be visited during the summer, but early autumn was great as well. If you want to stay in the hotel book in advance. I got one of the smallest rooms at last minute ????

Travel to Mažeikiai - remote Samogitian land in Lithuania | Travel guide
Welcome Mažeikiai district, Lithuania, one of the furthest places to go to from Vilnius. It's worth getting there, as the district has plenty of interesting sights to see: the only in Lithuania Gramophone museum, authentic XIX century pharmacy - museum, the home of the pioneer of Lithuanian aviation, the beautiful Renavas manor house and much more!
Mažeikiai district really impressed me, even though it was so far to drive to. It took me 2 days to see all the sights and I think it would be a great addition to a trip through Samogitia, combined with the nearby Akmenė district or Samogitia capital Telšiai.

Kretinga - tropical, Japanese and Baltic in one place | Lithuania travel guide
Hello everyone and welcome to Kretinga district, the place where you can find Baltic, Japanese and tropical places to go to
Kretinga district really surprised me with its variety of parks, not only it has beautiful Salantai Regional Park, but there also is a a tropical winter garden in Kretinga manor house, a Baltic Mythology Park in the middle of the forest and one of the largest Japanese garden in Europe!
I enjoyed seeing each of these, and would definitely recommend to go there for anyone who's planning to travel close by.

Trip to multicultural Kėdainiai and the center of Lithuania | Travel guide
Hi, here's another municipality video - Kėdainiai district located right at the geographical center of Lithuania.
Kėdainiai was a great place to visit and it astonished me that it was such a multicultural and historical city. When visiting you can see a lot of german and Scottish influence still visible in architecture today.
In this video I talk about all this and more - like the J. Monkute - Marks gallery in the city, Skinderiškis dendrological park, Apytalaukis Dotnuva and Paberžė manor houses, and the childhood home of Nobel prize winner Czesław Miłosz.

Driving from KAUNAS to MARIJAMPOLĖ in Lithuania | Shot on GoPro
European route E 67 is an E-road running from Prague in the Czech Republic to Helsinki in Finland by way of Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia. It goes via Prague, Wrocław, Warsaw, Kaunas, Panevėžys, Riga, Tallinn and Helsinki.
It is known as the Via Baltica between Warsaw and Tallinn, a distance of 970 kilometres (600 mi). It is a significant road connection between the Baltic states. The final stretch between Tallinn and Helsinki is by ferry (with about 10 car ferry departures each direction per day).
The route is mostly ordinary road, but there are plans to convert it into a motorway or expressway, in Poland called S8 (326 of 379 km completed as of 2015) and S61 (19 of 235 km completed as of 2015). Along the Via Baltica highway, the stretch of European route E67 between Warsaw and Tallinn, a 5G mobile network will be built in order to facilitate self-driving vehicles and expand opportunities for freight carriers.
Kaunas is a city in south-central Lithuania. At the confluence of the Neris and Nemunas rivers, Kaunas Castle is a medieval fortress housing historical exhibitions. To the east, the old town is home to the Kaunas Cathedral Basilica, with its ornate interior, and the Gothic spires of the Hanseatic House of Perkūnas. Laisvės Alėja, a pedestrianized street lined with trees and cafes, crosses the city from west to east.
Marijampolė is a cultural and industrial city and the capital of the Marijampolė County in the south of Lithuania, bordering Poland and Russian Kaliningrad Oblast, and Lake Vištytis. The population of Marijampolė is 48,700. It is the Lithuanian center of the Suvalkija region.

Travel guide to provincial Kelmė district and its surprises
Hi, here's another municipality video - Kelmė district located in the west of Lithuania in the lands of Samogitia.
It was my first time visiting it and it genuinely surprised me, how beautiful and taken care of the district is. The locals were so friendly and the amount of local sights were also just too many - I enjoyed every bit of the trip.
Tytuvėnai Regional Park alone is worth staying the night to enjoy its surroundings well.

The best camping site in Lithuania - Camping Harmony
It was a complete coincidence that we found this camping site. We just followed the sign and turned off the main road. After a-couple-of-kilometers-ride on an unpaved road in the middle of a forrest we already reached that point where you do not believe anymore there can be anything ahaed. And right there was the camping site Harmony. The best one we found during our expedition To Gibraltar through Nordkapp.
Lithuania's Second Biggest City (I think it's even cooler than Vilnius!)
I had SO much fun exploring Kaunas. It was only a short trip, but I have already fallen in love with this beautiful green city and that castle!

Visiting Prienai in Lithuania | Travel guide
I start this season with Prienai district - a place on the crossroads in the south of Lithuania. Situated next to the famous Birštonas resort it shares the same beautiful nature of Nemunas Loops Regional Park which can be explored through the windows of glider planes - popular aviation sport in the region.

Visiting Šakiai district, Lithuania | Road trip guide
It's time for Šakiai - finally the other side of the wonderful Panemuniai road trip. Somehow I managed to drive many times through Jurbarkas side, but this was my first time dedicating a trip to Šakiai side of Panemuniai Regional Park and it did not disappoint. Tall Sudargas hill forts, several manor houses, river street, local winery and more can be found there.
Zypliai manor house and Zanavykai museum were yet another great highlight of the trip, with an interesting restaurant too which I will definitely come back one day!
