This vlog features Ma. Christina Falls that is located in Iligan City. Iligan City is considered to be the city of majestic waterfalls because of the presence of more than 20 waterfalls in the city. This 98-high waterfall is the primary source of electic power in Mindanao being harnessed by the Agus VI hydroelectric plant.

Maria Cristina Falls - Philippines
Maria Cristina Falls is a waterfall of the Agus River on the island of Mindanao in the Philippines. It is sometimes called the twin falls as the flow is separated by a rock at the brink of the waterfall. It is a landmark of Iligan City, nicknamed the City of Majestic Waterfalls, because of the presence of more than 20 waterfalls in the city. It is located 9.3 kilometers away southwest of the city proper at the boundaries of Barangays Maria Cristina, Ditucalan, and Buru-un. Well known for its natural beauty and grandeur, the 320 - feet (98 meters) high waterfall is also the primary source of electric power for the city's industries, being harnessed by the Agus VI Hydroelectric Plant.

Iligan is known as the City of Majestic Waterfalls. The most well known is the Maria Cristina Falls on Agus River. It is the main source of hydro electric power in the whole Mindanao region. I feel so lucky because I used to only see this in my elementary books and now, I finally see it in my own naked eyes :D

Here we have the beautiful Maria Cristina Falls and the sound here is quite deafening with the sheer power of these water falls.. I love going to places like this, and if it was not for the fact that i have a 2 year old child to take care of i would be out all day in places like this.. Here in Iligan City we have about 24 of these waterfalls, and most are in quite remote areas, but as nice as they are one must always remember you are in Mindanao here, as i have been told that out of the 7641 islands we have here in the Philippines, Mindanao is the most dangerous to be on if you are a foreigner, as it's in these remote areas one is more likely to be taken hostage, but i must add this waterfalls is a very safe place to visit, and we sure did have a good time here...
