Local Market & Sunset Boat Rides | Malawi Travel Vlog
Local markets are the best! I needed to stock up on some food so in this travel vlog we are taking a visit to the local market in Cape Maclear, Malawi. It is a small market, but I ended up getting a pretty good haul! I will show you everything I got.
After we finished at the market we went on a sunset boat cruise around Thumbi island, where we got to feed fish to wild eagles. It was amazing! I have never seen so many wild eagles at one time, in my life. What an unforgettable treat!

Have you ever heard of the Ilala Ferry on Malawi Lake? It is the mode of transportation used to cross the lake, with stops at many places along the way. I went on a 24 hour journey from Cape Maclear to Likoma island, and it was quite the adventure! I think this is a 'must do' if you visit Malawi.

Hiking A Grand Traverse On Mount Mulanje | Malawi Travel Vlog
Have you ever heard of a Grand Traverse? I hadn't before I spontaneously said yes to this super difficult trek. I ended up completing my first grand traverse across Mount Mulanje in Malawi. Mount Mulanje is huge, and absolutely stunning, with approximately 63 peaks. I had no idea what I signed up for, and it ended up putting me through SO many challenges. My goal was to complete three peaks in 5 days.

Cape Maclear on the Southern shores of Lake Malawi is as picturesque as they come. Known as the Cote d'Azur of Malawi, the warm honey colored sand and turquoise water will make you forget all together that you are on a lake. A boat trip from Stone Town to Prison Island *Zanzibar with no tourists*
You can't be in Stone Town, on the island of Zanzibar and not do the boat trip to Prison Island. Especially when there is virtually no other tourists to be found, which was actually a little eery. It is only a short 20 minute boat ride, you get experience the tortoises up close and personal, and then take a walk around where the old prison once was. A small island with big history. Plus I got to finish the trip off with a little swim and a snorkel.

This Spice Farm Was Amazing | Zanzibar
Zanzibar is also known as 'spice island', and they have some very cool spice farms. I went and did a tour, and learnt about a couple knew plants that I had never heard of before this, and I got to see some of my faves in their natural habitat for the first time. This is definitely Zanzibar like you have never seen it. Nungwi and Kendwa are top tourist destinations that are always full of tourists. I was one of the first tourists to visit Zanzibar after the flights resumed to Tanzania. This time, there was no one, in the beginning I didn't even see many locals around. It was very surreal. Even 11 years ago when I first visited and there was way less infrastructure, it was never like this. With the global lockdowns it was to be expected. Still though, I could barely believe my eyes. An experience I will never forget.

A River In The African Wilderness | Botswana Travel Vlog
Today's adventure was a an epic 4 hour canoe trip down the Nata River from a town called Maposa in Botswana. A place that keeps on surprising me with it's charms. There are hippos in this river, so that added another aspect to it. This trip did not disappoint.

I Stayed With a Local Family in a Rural Village in Zambia(Tonga Tribe)

I am so grateful I had the opportunity to stay with a local family in the rural village in Zambia called Batoka. They are from the Tonga Tribe, and I was blown away at the hospitality they showed me. Right now it is rainy season, so they have been busy planting their corn crops as that is the main staple of their diet. They village was rural, but a bit more modern then I expected. Everyone in the village was so excited to have a foreigner visiting at it is a very rare occurrence there. I did my best to learn some of the Tonga language, but it is actually quite hard! What a beautiful culture it is.

I Tried The Natural Maasai Toothbrush For 5 Days
