Is Dumaguete City worth visiting?Thanks to the presence of a handful of universities and educational institutes, Dumaguete has a ubiquitous academic vibe. It is hard not to come across a group of jolly students in an ice cream shop or on the streets, a strong indicator that the city is pretty safe for both tourism and studies.
One of the must-visit tourist spots when in Dumaguete is Apo Island in Dauin. The 24-hectare volcanic island sits at the tip of Negros Oriental and is known for its abundant marine life like turtles.

MANSANAGAN FALLS, in Santa Catalina, Negros Oriental.
I saw a featured post on Facebook about it and it was just a 10min drive from home!
If you wish to visit this beautiful place, you may take the ceres bus from Dumaguete city going to Bayawan, drop off at Santa Catalina town proper and ask a habal-habal to take you to Mansanagan falls. Then take a 500m to 1km trek to the falls. SULIT SYA!
