Had a short visit to the historic town of Lallo in the Province of Cagayan, one of the first four cities in the Philippines during the Spanish-colonial era, when it was still known as Nueva Segovia.
In this video, we will be featuring some of its attractions such as the Magapit Bridge, St. Dominic de Guzman Parish Church and the Castle in the Sky. Lallo is slowly but surely developing into a more urban community and we look forward to the town reclaiming its citihood status it once had. Let's go Lallo!!!

MAGAPIT BRIDGE Golden Gate of Cagayan and CAGAYAN RIVER Rio Grande de Cagayan Cagayan Valley Ph
The Magapit Bridge is suspension bridge spanning 257 meters (843 ft) that connects the east and west sides of the Cagayan River in Lal-lo, Cagayan, Philippines. Opened in 1978, it carries Maharlika Highway, linking Barangays Bangag and Magapit in Lal-lo. The bridge was also named by the locals as the Golden Gate of Cagayan. This bridge is one of the only two bridges in the province that runs across the mighty waterway of the Cagayan River.
The Cagayan River, also known as the Río Grande de Cagayán, is the longest river[3][1] and the largest river by discharge volume of water in the Philippines. It has a total length of approximately 505 kilometres (314 mi) and a drainage basin covering 27,753 square kilometres (10,715 sq mi).[2] It is located in the Cagayan Valley region in northeastern part of Luzon Island and traverses the provinces of Nueva Vizcaya, Quirino, Isabela and Cagayan.
The Cagayan River is known throughout the Philippines as the “Rio Grande de Cagayan” because it is the longest, largest and widest river in the Philippines. The length of the river is about 350 km and has a drainage basin covering 27,753 sq. km

Cagayan Valley's Golden Gate Bridge
MAY 26, 2016—After our visit to the Oldest Church Bell in the Philippines and Southeast Asia and a very heavy Cagayano lunch in the town of Camalaniugan we proceeded with our Cagayan Road Tour southbound to the direction of Tuguegarao. Our next immediate stop is Magapit Suspension Bridge, famous among the folks of Cagayan Valley for being the longest—and only one of two—suspension bridge in the Philippines. Built in 1978, it is also often referred to as the Golden Gate bridge of Cagayan Valley.

It was an enjoyable seven-day trip , rediscovering the Northern Philppines traversing the loop from Manila-Nueva Vizcaya-Isabela-Cagayan Valley-Ilocos Norte-Ilocos Sur-La Union and back to Manila. The highways were so good and that traveling and driving was even more fun.

People say that travelling at a young age is the best time due to youth exuberance. However there's no age limit for people to travel as long as one is fit or healthy. This ancient hobby is open to all ages. Being Seniors, we still love to travel because of being a stress reliever and its many therapeutic effects. No constraints whatsover. A segment of our planned Northern Luzon trip covers 4 provinces to drive and see in 5 hours, namely Kalinga, Apayao, Cagayan and Ilocos Norte. What amazed us so much were the beautiful sceneries of nature. This trip was made possible because of the good weather and road conditions. Please watch our video till the end to enjoy it. APARRI, CAGAYAN is a small town located in Northern Cagayan.
This town is quite popular as it was mentioned in the theme song of EAT BULAGA.
It sits in the mouth of the mighty Cagayan River, the widest and longest river in the Philippines.
It was then established as one of the major ports of the Galleon Trade, as it was situated in the northern tip of Luzon.
The town is at the typhoon belt, and is also an important location for typhoon tracking by the national weather agency, PAGASA, which has a meteorological station at the port.
If your traveling up north, 15 hours from Manila, the town of APARRI, is a must visit place.
In this quiet town, you can see the mouth of the Cagayan River at the PUNTA PIER, where the river meets the sea.
Across the Municipal Hall, you can enjoy the street foods in the town's park.
So, in our day 5 of our #philippineloop Series2022 adventures, from enjoying our camping at Nangaramoan Beach, the north easternmost tip of the Philippines, we directly drive using our #suzukispresso to the Northernmost part of Luzon, the APARRI WELCOME ARCH to have some photo ops.
