Although inhabited since the 1st century, the city of zarqa was established by immigrants from the Caspian Sea region at the beginning of the 20th century, disputed discuss. the first settlement in the city was established in 1902 by chechen immigrants who were displaced from the wars between the Ottoman and Russian Empires.citation needed they settled along the zarqa river. at that time a station on the hejaz Railway was built in the new settlement. The railway station turned zarqa into an important hub. On 10 April 1905, the Ottoman governor issued a decree that allowed the Chechen immigrants to own lands which they settled on. The population then quickly grew in size. On 18 November 1928, the new Jordanian government issued a decree to establish the first municipal council for Zarqa.
After the transjordan Frontier Force was formed in 1926, military bases were constructed in the city by the British Army and the city later became known as the military city. Several facilities that are vital to Jordan's economy are based in Zarqa, such as Jordan's only oil refinery plant. Saudi Arabia, Al-Ahsa Oasis, an Evolving Cultural Landscape

The Nomination File of Al-Ahsa Oasis, An Evolving Cultural Landscape, was realized by a team composed of RCHeritage and IPOGEA, an Italian company specialized in desert environment, water management and oases. The support of oasis experts was instrumental in the definition of the nomination principles and in the identification of the property perimeters.
This nomination is the first example of cultural landscape proposed by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and a very large serial property comprising not only desert land and palm trees groves, but also urban neighbourhoods and agricultural lands.

The work was carried out in coordination with the STCH (in Riyadh and in al-Ahsa) and the Municipality of Al-Ahsa. A series of presentation meetings took place in Al-Hofuf to involve the local community and the ensemble of the institutional stakeholders. Two management seminars were also organized before and after the submission of the file to UNESCO in January 2017.
Located in the Eastern Province of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Al-Ahsa Oasis, an Evolving Cultural Landscape is a serial cultural property constituted of twelve components covering an area of 85 km2, surrounded by 7 buffer zones extending over 215 Km2.
It is an organically evolved landscape that developed by association with, and in response to, its natural environment, and an example of continuing landscape retaining an active social role in Al-Ahsa contemporary society. The nominated property shows the sustainable evolution of the oasis and of its associated human settlements, where the physical and functional relations between the natural landscape, the water springs, the water canalization system, the villages, and the cities create a continuously evolving human-created oasis environment. The association of large watered date palm groves and urban areas creates an exceptional cultural landscape presenting, through its continuous practice, a unique evolution of an ancient cultural tradition bearing testimony to the sedentary human occupation of the area throughout the millennia and to its evolving sustainability until the present day.

Al-Ahsa Oasis is the largest oasis in the world with more than 2.5 million palm trees, and it preserves material traces representative of all the stages of the oasis history, since its origins in the Neolithic to the present. The unique role the oasis of Al-Ahsa played for hundreds of years — and continues to play in the modern kingdom of Saudi Arabia — is witnessed by the many fortresses, historic mosques, springs and canals that dot the modern city and the orchards. Al-Ahsa Oasis, an Evolving Cultural Landscape, remains today the largest agricultural area in the Arabian Peninsula, and a working and living environment that has developed in direct continuity with its origins and its past.

THE OLDEST CHURCH IN THE WORLD (33 A.AD.-70 A.D.)FIRST CENTURY discovered in JORDAN, MAFRAQ

The oldest church in the world was discovered in Jordan few years ago. It is located in few kilometers of Mafraq city in a region called Rehab. Dating to the period AD33-70, the small underground church supposedly served as a place of worship and a home. It is suggested that 70 persecuted Christians who fled from Jerusalem once used the church. These 70 people lived in the church, practicing their faith in total secrecy until the Romans embraced Christianity as a religion a few hundred years later. Accessible only by narrow stairs leading to the underground space, the church resembles a cave and is twelve meters long and seven meters wide.

JordanالأردنAmmanعَمّانVisit-1

this informative video is shared for public, trave Jordan الأردن Amman visit-1.Amman Arabic: عَمّان‎ amman pronounced is the capital and largest city of Jordan and the country's economic, political and cultural center With a population of 4,007,526, Amman is the largest city in the Levant region and the fifth-largest city in the Arab world.it is considered to be among the most modernized Arab cities and a major tourist destination.amman, the capital of Jordan, is a modern city with numerous ancient ruins. Atop Jabal al-Qala’a hill, the historic Citadel includes the pillars of the Roman Temple of Hercules and the 8th-century Umayyad Palace complex, known for its grand dome. Built into a different downtown hillside, the Roman Theater is a 6,000-capacity, 2nd-century stone amphitheater offering occasional events.
The earliest evidence of settlement in Amman is in a Neolithic site known as 'Ain Ghazal, where some of the oldest human statues ever found dating to 7250 BC were uncovered. During the Iron Age, the city was known as Ammon, home to the Kingdom of the Ammonites. It was named Philadelphia during its Greek and Roman periods, and was finally called Amman during the Islamic period. For much of the early and middle Islamic periods (7th–14th centuries) it served as a center for the Balqa district of Syria. Afterward Amman was a largely abandoned site until the late 19th century when Circassian immigrants were settled there by the Ottoman Empire in 1878. The first municipal council was established in 1909.[9] Amman witnessed rapid growth after its designation as trans jordan's capital in 1921, and after several successive waves of refugees: Palestinians in 1948 and 1967; Iraqis in 1990 and 2003; and Syrians since 2011. It was initially built on seven hills but now spans over 19 hills combining 27 districts, which are administered by the Greater Amman Municipality headed by its mayor Yousef Shawarbeh. Areas of Amman have gained their names from either the hills (Jabal) or the valleys (Wadi) they occupy, such as Jabal Lweibdeh and Wadi Abdoun. East Amman is predominantly filled with historic sites that frequently host cultural activities, while West Amman is more modern and serves as the economic center of the city.
Approximately two million visitors arrived in Amman in 2014, which made it the 93rd most visited city in the world and the 5th most visited Arab city. Amman has a relatively fast growing economy, & it is ranked Beta on the global city index. Moreover, it was named one of the Middle East and North Africa's best cities according to economic, labor, environmental, and sociocultural factors. The city is among the most popular locations in the Arab world for multinational corporations to set up their regional offices, alongside Doha and only behind Dubai. It is expected that in the next 10 years these three cities will capture the largest share of multinational corporation activity in the region.kmho vlog
