Here is where you can see the Best Rice Fields in China!
On day 4 I travel from Yangshuo To Dazhai and explore the surroundings! On this day I travel by bus from Yangshuo to Dahzai, in Longsheng County to visit the beautiful rice terraces here. Dazhai is famous for its rice paddies. In about 4 hours the bus takes me to Dazhai.
The roads aren't in a great condition and there are many bends. On the way I witness multiple car accidents; be sure to wear a seat belt when taking the bus here in China. From Dazhai I hike up the hill, through the rice fields, to the hostel I'm staying in; Dragon's Den Hostel. After I arrive I go out and explore the area around my hostel.

麻城简介
麻城市，位于湖北省东北部、大别山中段南麓、鄂豫皖三省交界处，处于武汉、郑州、合肥三角经济区域中心，紧邻省城武汉。全市版图面积3747平方公里，人口126余万。下辖3个街道办事处、15个镇、1个乡和1个省级经济开发区，共有715个行政村。城区建成面积30平方公里，户籍人口36万。
麻城是一座具有悠久历史和丰厚文化积淀的城市，文脉深厚，民风纯朴，资源丰饶，景色宜人，胸襟开阔，交通便利，是著名的红色古城、杜鹃花城、交通新城、特产名城，是大别山中心城市和旅游门户城市，是近年来湖北省发展最快的县市之一。曾荣获双拥模范城市、文明城市、中国花岗石之乡等称号。
细数咱们大麻城的美景
三台八景，为麻城著名的名胜。
白云台：位于市北仙居山，有石隆起，上平台，时有云气往来其巅，高瞻远眺，缥缈缤纷，相传为麻姑行游之所。
雁台：位于市东白枭山之南，有石平坦如席，释道一修真是山，早晚率动弥课颂于台上，梵语一声，群雁下集，生公说法，顽石点头，道力佛性作如是观。
钓鱼台：位于市风陂河，两水夹流，巨石突起于河中，纵横各丈许，明季邑人周柳塘建寨碧楼于台上，暇则垂钓其中，海内名士朝夕过从，称盛一时，迄今仅存遗址。
龟峰旭日：龟山峻极，高耸入云，顶望江河如匹练，而于凌晨观日出为奇，扶桑动摇，海水吞吐，金蛇万道，射目荡心，恰似泰山之观日出。
白臬飞泉：山顶有石壁，泉从罅出，稍下为石所截，激怒有声，啧玉溅珠，不可遏止，飞向半空，千丈一落，奇瀑也。
麻姑仙洞：洞在仙居山之腹。邑志记后赵麻秋建城时，督工子夜不辍，其女麻姑侧悯民工，伪作鸡声，冀父闻声罢役，久为，秋觉而笞姑，姑遂逃此修真。山半为静月寺，寺左边一亭，更上有洞，悬石支架，中空如室，底有一池，鱼游其中，背有平台，方广十笏，东南居峰护卫屏列，西北则烟云缭绕，弥望无际，四方名士，选胜来游者甚众，雅士留诗，代有所闻。
柏子秋荫：柏子塔在市东北二十里之九龙山，相传唐时所建，塔高九丈九尺，其顶覆以铁镬，有柏树盘生于中，每于立秋日午时，塔四面无影，夙传中洲有塔，每日中无影，论者谓土圭正景之义，兹塔独于立秋日无影，实为异事。
凤岭朝云：凤岭位于市西北十五里麻姑仙洞之侧，相传有凤集此，朝阳未升，晨霞初启，云蒸霞蔚，晴丝万缕，若烟非烟，似雾非雾，可与巫山神女峰比美。
万松古亭：亭在古县城西七里，昔县令张公毅植树万株于西岗，立亭其间以观风，宋苏子瞻过此，有诗且以名其亭。
桃林春色：桃林位之市东五里之桃林河，两岸多桃花，绵亘十余里，居民村巷，罗错其间，桃花盛开，红霞如锦，茅檐竹舍，掩映芳华。
龙池夜月：黑龙池在市东南三里许，池水清澈如碧玉，每值夜水轮涌，皎浩异常，人立池旁，清鉴毛发，俨居玻璃世界。
大广高速公路、沪蓉高速公路、麻竹高速公路、麻武高速公路、106国道贯穿全境。湖北省十二五规划中即将建设麻城——通山、麻城——阳新高速公路（麻阳高速公路）、麻城至武穴高速公路，天河国际机场距市区只有80公里、阳逻深水码头距市区70公里；交通基础设施建设投资将达到250多亿元，将成为继武汉、襄阳之后的湖北省第三大交通枢纽。
京九铁路贯穿全境，京九、京广铁路在这里联接并建有二级区段站麻城站；沪汉蓉高速铁路横贯全境，并建有二级区段站麻城北站；麻城市已成为京九铁路、沪汉蓉高速铁路和京九京广联络线3条国家级铁路线的重要节点。
