About chilika lake :-
Chilika Lake is the largest internal saltwater lake in Asia, it is a paradise on earth for bird watchers and nature lovers. The pear shaped lake is dotted with a few small islands and has fisheries and salt pans around its shore.
At a distance of 44 km from Puri, Chilika Lake is Asia's biggest inland saltwater lagoon situated near Satapada in Odisha. Located at the mouth of the Daya River, Chilika Lake is the largest coastal lagoon in India and also the second largest saltwater lagoon in the world after the New Caledonian barrier reef in New Caledonia.

The lake is studded with small islands including the most charming Honeymoon Island and the Breakfast Island. Spreads across 1,100 sq. km, the pear-shaped lake extends from Bhusandpur in Puri district in the North to Rambha-Malud in Ganjam district in the South, separated from the Bay of Bengal by a 60 km long narrow strip of marshy islands and sand flats. The lake is an ecosystem with large fishery resources. It sustains more than 150,000 fisher folk living in 132 villages on the shore and Islands. In 1981, Chilika Lake was designated the first Indian wetland of international importance under the Ramsar Convention.

The lake also acts as one of the most supportive ecosystems in the name of Chilika Lake Sanctuary. It is the largest wintering ground for migratory birds on the Indian sub continent. Birds from the Caspian Sea, Lake Baikal, Aral Sea and other remote parts of Russia, Kirghiz steppes of Mongolia, Central and Southeast Asia, Ladakh and Himalayas come here. White bellied sea eagles, Graylag Geese, Purple Moorhen, Jacana, Herons and Flamingos are among the many species which make the lake a bird watcher's delight. Chilika in fact, is home to one of the world's largest breeding colonies of Flamingos.

Being richly famous for the presence of aquatic wildlife, Chilika Lake sanctuary also houses Irrawaddy dolphins which are different from the other dolphins as their color and dorsal fin being less prominent. Apart from the avifaunal species, the region also highlights varied wild animals such as Blackbuck, Golden Jackals, Spotted Deer and Hyenas. Chilika Lake Sanctuary is favorably known for its dynamic sunrise and sunset views. One of the most famous tourist attractions near Chilika Wildlife Sanctuary is Kalijai Temple, devoted to Goddess Kalijai. Makar Sankranti is celebrated with great pomp and cheer at the temple that attracts numerous travelers & devotees.

Chilika Lake is the most popular destination for eco-tourism in Orissa. Apart from having the presence of exotic wildlife in the area, the lake and its vicinity hold a rich floral system with an abundance of aquatic as well as non aquatic plants. The recent environmental survey revealed the presence of more than 710 species of plants in and around Chilika Lake. Such a huge variety of Flora and Fauna including numerous rare and endangered species of all forms has been the main reason for considering Chilika Lake as Ramsar site.

Boating at Chilika is one of the most popular activities. Chilika Lake can be visited year round however the time from November to February is the best time to visit Chilika Lake. Especially, it is the season for migratory birds and hence it is even more exciting to explore this lake during these months.

Rancagua in Chile

Rancagua is a city south of Santiago in central Chile. Tree-lined Heroes Square commemorates the Chileans who fought in the Battle of Rancagua during the War of Independence. It's also home to the twin-towered Rancagua Cathedral. National hero General Bernardo O'Higgins directed troops during the battle from the nearby Merced Church. Housed in a colonial building, Rancagua Regional Museum explores the area's past.

Passing by central Chile

In the next two years I'm gonna film and edit every place I travel around the WORLD.
I'm excited to share with you my experience Central Chile.

Central Chile-
The most incredible thing about traveling central Chile is it’s diversity between snowy mountains and beautiful beaches. In two days you can find yourself climbing up a snowy volcano and catching a tan on a beautiful beach.

The places shown here:
Pucón - base of the famous mount Villarica climb. The city offers plenty of different activities: river jumping, skydiving, water skiing, snow skiing, white water rafting, kayaking, horseback riding, natural hot springs and zip line rides.
No wonder why this place is full with tourists and backpackers.

Mount Villarica - one of the most active volcanos in Chile. Famous for its climb up and the big chance to see lava.
Don’t miss out the fun slide down the snowy mountain on your bottom.

Viña del Mar - located an hour and a half northwest of Santiago. Known for it’s beautiful beaches. The town is a famous destination for Chilenos and Argentinos students during summer brake.

Valparaiso - one of the biggest cities in Chile, the city exemplifies Chilean culture. With festivals every year, street artists and musicians, it’s considered the “Hipster” city of Chile.

Following are the details of the places visit by us as part of this journey, if you have any query, pl feel free to write that in comments section.

Panambur Beach - Best time to visit this beach is evening only, when you want to see the sunset, it is a located at at distance of 14 kms from Mangalore - directionally on way to Udupi.

Taj Mahal cafe - This cafe opens at 6 am, many locals visit this place for early morning breakfast. This is an awesome place to have breakfast at Mangalore.

Sultan Bateri & TannirBavi - Best thing to do is to reach either Sultan Bateri watch tower or TannirBavi beach by road and after visiting that location go to the other one by ferry, it just takes 5 to 7 minutes to cross the river on ferry. This means Sultan Bateri watch tower built by Tipu Sultan is on one side of the river and TannirBavi beach is on the other side of the river.

Ferry ticket cost is Rs 10 per person, hope i remember correctly.

Giri Manjas lunch - This is a famous sea food joint, This place is bit tight on sitting space, earlier this was a house and later they converted it into an eatery and it has really become a famous seafood joint because of the simplicity of food and its taste.

I had this in lunch at Giri Manjas - i could not understand what is it, editing the description about this - Avarekalu = Hyasinth beans or Lilva beans or Field beans - Surti papdi..

They are open only for lunch, there is no dinner here.

If you want to visit this place, you should visit during off peak hours may be early lunch at 12 noon or late lunch at 3 or 3.15 pm that’s the only way you can save from the crowd rush.

Food is excellent at this place, but i think they need to have a new setup near by which is more airy, may be air conditioned too bcoz weather of Mangalore is hot.

Pabbas - I labelled this as world’s best ice cream because its so hard to imagine a ice cream better than this, at least i can’t think of one.

All their innovations are master tastes, so if you happen to travel to Mangalore you should not miss Pabbas ice cream. Out of all innovations the most famous is Gadbad, as this is their oldest most popular one.

Landscape of Chile

Landscape of Chile
game :

The northern Atacama Desert contains great mineral wealth, primarily copper and nitrates. The relatively small Central Valley, which includes Santiago, dominates the country in terms of population and agricultural resources. This area also is the historical center from which Chile expanded in the late 19th century, when it integrated the northern and southern regions. Southern Chile is rich in forests, grazing lands, and features a string of volcanoes and lakes. The southern coast is a labyrinth of fjords, inlets, canals, twisting peninsulas, and islands. The Andes Mountains are located on the eastern border. Chile is the longest north-south country in the world, and also claims 1,250,000 km2 (480,000 sq mi) of Antarctica as part of its territory. However, this latter claim is suspended under the terms of the Antarctic Treaty, of which Chile is a signatory.[74]
Chile controls Easter Island and Sala y Gómez Island, the easternmost islands of Polynesia, which it incorporated to its territory in 1888, and Robinson Crusoe Island, more than 600 kilometres (370 mi) from the mainland, in the Juan Fernández Islands. Also controlled but only temporarily inhabited (by some local fishermen) are the small islands of San Ambrosio and San Felix. These islands are notable because they extend Chile's claim to territorial waters out from its coast into the Pacific Ocean.[75]
Climate
Main article: Climate of Chile

With more than 300 clear nights every year, La Silla is in an ideal position to house advanced observing instruments,
The diverse climate of Chile ranges from the world's driest desert in the north—the Atacama—through a Mediterranean climate in the centre, humid subtropical in Easter Island, to an oceanic climate, including alpine tundra and glaciers in the east and south.[11] According to the Köppen system, Chile within its borders hosts at least seven major climatic subtypes. There are four seasons in most of the country: summer (December to February), autumn (March to May), winter (June to August), and spring (September to November).
Biodiversity
Main article: Wildlife of Chile

A glacier at Beagle Channel in southern Chile.

Juan Fernández Firecrown.
Fauna
Chile's geographical isolation also has restricted the immigration of faunal life, so that only a few of the many distinctive South American animals are found. Among the larger mammals are the puma or cougar, the llama-like guanaco and the fox-like chilla. In the forest region, several types of marsupials and a small deer known as the pudu are found.[76]
There are many species of small birds, but most of the larger common Latin American types are absent. Few freshwater fish are native, but North American trout have been successfully introduced into the Andean lakes.[76] Owing to the vicinity of the Humboldt Current, ocean waters abound with fish and other forms of marine life, which in turn support a rich variety of waterfowl, including several penguins. Whales are abundant, and some six species of seals are found in the area.[76]
Fungi
Just over 3,000 species of fungi are recorded in Chile,[77][78] but this number is far from complete. The true total number of fungal species occurring in Chile is likely to be far higher, given the generally accepted estimate that only about 7 percent of all fungi worldwide have so far been discovered.[79] Although the amount of available information is still very small, a first effort has been made to estimate the number of fungal species endemic to Chile, and 1995 species have been tentatively identified as possible endemics of the country.[80]
Flora
The northernmost coastal and central region is largely barren of vegetation, approaching the most closely an absolute desert in the world.[76] On the slopes of the Andes, besides the scattered tola desert brush, grasses are found. The central valley is characterized by several species of cacti, the hardy espinos, the Chilean pine, the southern beeches and the copihue, a red bell-shaped flower that is Chile's national flower.[76]
In southern Chile, south of the Biobío River, heavy precipitation has produced dense forests of laurels, magnolias, and various species of conifers and beeches, which become smaller and more stunted to the south. [81] The cold temperatures and winds of the extreme south preclude heavy forestation. Grassland is found in Atlantic Chile (in Patagonia). Much of the Chilean flora is distinct from that of neighboring Argentina, indicating that the Andean barrier existed during its formation.
