There are loads of awesome Koblenz attractions and Ehrenbreitstein Fortress is undoubtedly the most famous one. Koblenz a beautiful historic Rhine River city in South West Germany.
Koblenz is situated on the intersection of the Moselle River and the Rhine River, and his home to some eye-popping site seeing. And the main attraction in town is the Ehrenbreitstein Fortress. Koblenz is also home to a wonderfully romantic old town area, which is in itself a maze of narrow streets. The old town is also home to heaps of beautiful architecture and some great fountains and statues.

We visit the German Christmas markets in Koblenz and Boppard, and also take a Rhine river cruise down the Rhine river to Boppard.
After our Rhine river cruise we explore Boppard before heading to the excellent German Christmas market in Koblenz.
German Christmas markets are some of the best places to visit at Christmas and Germany has some of the best European Christmas markets! If you’re looking for some Christmas travel, these German Christmas markets vlogs will hopefully give you some ideas of where to travel to at Christmas. These German Christmas markets are all in the German Rhine Valley.
We travelled with Leger Holidays and stayed at the hotel Alte Bauernschänke in Assmannshausen, near Rüdesheim in the Rhine Valley.

The Historic 4th Century Ehrenbreitstein Fortress in Koblenz, Germany
This beyond massive fortress is reachable by cable car or stretch your legs and walk up to it. Occupying a position on the East Bank of the Rhine it was built as part of the regional fortification system between 1817-1828 but the hill was first settle in the Fourth Century BC.
The Middle Rhine Valley is part of UNESCO World Heritage Sites which, of course, includes the fortress. Prepare to spend at least several hours here.

In this video we are going to explore the Historical city Lahnstein. It is located in Upper Middle Rhein valley which is a Unesco World Heritage site. Lahnstein is situated at the confluence of the river Lahn and Rhein, approximately 6km south of Koblenz.
Lahnstein offers scenic and picturesque landscape, Roman history, fairytale palaces and forts. It is a beautiful old town with extensive hiking route network, delicious local cuisine and many more.

Rhine River Valley (Koblenz to Rüdesheim), Germany [Amazing Places 4K]
The most scenic section of the Rhine River Valley between Koblenz and Bingen is known as Upper Middle Rhine Valley and the Rhine Gorge. UNESCO World Heritage Site, with beautiful historic towns, castles and vineyards. It has been intimately associated with history and legend and for centuries has exercised a powerful influence on writers, artists and composers (unesco.org).

With around 113,000 inhabitants, it is the third largest city in this federal state after Mainz and Ludwigshafen am Rhein and forms one of its five regional centers (the others are Trier and Kaiserslautern). Koblenz is the 68th largest city in Germany.

Complete Tour Inside Ehrenbreitstein Fortress. Koblenz -Germany.
Ehrenbreitstein Fortress (German: Festung Ehrenbreitstein) is a fortress in the German state of Rhineland-Palatinate, on the east bank of the Rhine where it is joined by the Moselle, overlooking the town of Koblenz.
Occupying the position of an earlier fortress destroyed by the French in 1801, it was built as the backbone of the regional fortification system, Festung Koblenz, by Prussia between 1817 and 1828 and guarded the middle Rhine region, an area that had been invaded by French troops repeatedly before. The Prussian fortress was never attacked.
Since 2002, Ehrenbreitstein has been part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site Upper Middle Rhine Valley.
