We were BLOWN AWAY by BULGARIAN FOOD. Maybe it was just our low expectations, but WOW, were we surprised by the food in Sofia Bulgaria!
We finally made it to Sofia, the capital city of Bulgaria, and what better way to explore than by trying delicious food? We start our day with a traditional Bulgarian breakfast, consisting of Bulgarian street food, then explore the Sofia City Garden.
Next, we indulge in some traditional dishes, including soups and the national dish of Bulgaria. Afterwards, we visit Sofia’s most popular attraction before getting caught in an intense rain storm! To end the day, we have a final gut check at a traditional Bulgarian restaurant serving up all sorts of delicious Bulgarian food. Sadly, this wraps up our Bulgaria travel series, and tomorrow we head to a new country!

Kostenets sightseeing
presents views of Kostenets nature and sightseeing.
Kostenets is a beautiful town situated at the foot of Rila mountain and approximately 70 km away from the capital of Bulgaria, Sofia. There are plenty of mineral springs in the area. The temperature of the water varies from 47°С to 73°С. 6 km away from town Kostenets is located Kostenets village which is one of the biggest villages in Bulgaria. There are more than 4 000 people living there. Ivan Vazov has written about Kostenets waterfall in his book of poetry What is the mountain singing and Kostenets - travel notes. In this slideshow you can see some pictures which were taken in Spa Hotel Ezeroto - a truly great place to visit.

По поречието на река Арда има множество красиви извивки, така наречените меандри. Най-известния и лесно достъпен е и меандърът, който се намира между Маджарово и Бориславци. Там река Арда прави 180-градусов завой и образува красив пролом. Меандъра опира в скален масив който приютява множество птичи видове, като най- известния от тях е популацията на единствената колония от Белоглави лешояди в България. Колонията е под постоянно наблюдение от Природозащитен център Източни РодопиЯзовир Ивайловград е язовир в Източните Родопи по долното течение на река Арда преди реката да напусне територията на България и да продължи в Република Гърция.
Язовирната стена е в коритото на река Арда в община Ивайловград, северно от град Ивайловград. Басейнът на язовира е голям и се простира на територията на общините Маджарово и Любимец и Крумовград, има 64 километрова брегова ивица, голяма част от нея е покрита с гъсти широколистни гори.
Язовирът е построен през 1964 г. По предварителен план язовирът е трябвало да бъде със стена висока 105 м и тогава щеше да е най-големият на Балканския полуостров, в този случай обаче щеше да залее мините до Маджарово, които не функционират. Днес стената на язовира е висока 71 м, а язовирът е най-дългият в България – 30 км. Площта му е 15 км².
Along the Arda river there are many beautiful bends, the so-called meanders. The most famous and easily accessible is the meander, which is located between Madjarovo and Borislavtsi. There, the Arda River makes a 180-degree turn and forms a beautiful gorge. The meander rests on a rocky massif that shelters many bird species, the most famous of which is the population of the Griffon Vulture. The colony is under constant surveillance by the Nature Protection Center Eastern Rhodopes
Ivaylovgrad Dam is a dam in the Eastern Rhodopes along the lower reaches of the Arda River before the river left the territory of Bulgaria and continued in the Hellenic Republic.
The dam wall is in the bed of the Arda River in the municipality of Ivaylovgrad, north of the town of Ivaylovgrad. The basin of the dam is large and extends to the municipalities of Madzharovo and Lyubimets and Krumovgrad, has a 64-kilometer coastline, much of which is covered with dense deciduous forests.
The dam was built in 1964. According to preliminary plans, the dam was supposed to have a wall 105 m high and then it would be the largest on the Balkan Peninsula, but in this case it would flood the mines near Madzharovo, which are not functioning. Today the wall of the dam is 71 m high, and the dam is the longest in Bulgaria - 30 km. Its area is 15 km².

Лятна Ваканция на Остров Липари | Италия
Остров Липари
Еолийските острови са архипелаг от вулканични острови, които се намират на Север от Сицилия в Тиренско море. Бях тук преди повече от 15 години. Всъщност това е първото място в Италия, което посетих.
Седемте острова са обитаеми и всеки има разнороден характер и отличителен белег. Най-големият от Еолийските острови се нарича Липари. Тук избрахме да прекараме лятната си ваканция.
Дойдохме от България с кола. Използвахме три ферибота за да стигнем до Липари. З съжаление климатикът на колата ни се развали още в България. В същото време хванахме адски гореща вълна и ужасяващо високи градуси, дори и за Сицилия. Това, обаче не ни попречи да прекараме щастливи 12 дни на островите.
В това видео показваме най-интересното от остров Липари.
