Panama Experience- Playa Las Comadres (Las Tablas), Azuero Peninsula In Los Santos, Panama

Beautiful Beach Community in Playa Las Comadres with private access to the Pacific Ocean. You will usually have the beach to yourself, this time there was a local fisherman roasting cashews, setting up his nets (with shrimp and cashews as a bait) to the water during the low tide and waiting for the high tide to subside to go back and get his catch- never seen anything like this. It is easy to fish this way without a boat. Waves are calmer on this side of the Azuero Peninsula than for example in Playa Venao- Playa Las Comadres is great for swimming & fishing, Playa Venao wins for surfing.

Panama Experience- Pedasi Illustrated Part 1, in Los Santos, Panama

On our trip introducing the absolute must visit when experiencing the Azuero Peninsula- Pedasi Town. Featuring approx. 5000 residents, 3 beaches, unique ambiance, and friendly people- this is fun experience.

Pedasi Panama (Shops and Places in Pedasi, Pedasi Beaches, Nature and Animal Life In Pedasi)

Pedasi is a beautiful coastal village that in Panama and is commonly known as being a fishing region and is a paradise for nature lovers with its rolling hills, beaches and tropical feel. Pedasi is a top destination for expats as is Boquete. Quite a stark contrast between to the cosmopolitan Panama City, yet only a 5 hour drive away. Its also not the cool haven that Boquete is.

Please subscribe to our Channel here:

Pedasi is located along the South Eastern part of the Azuero Peninsula. The village is part of the Pedasi District as well as the Los Santos province.

The Pedasi District is divided administratively into:
Purio;
Mariabe;
Pedasí; being the municipal seat,
Los Asientos; and
Oria Arriba

The land of the Pedasí district has been used extensively for cattle farming; the cultivation of sorghum, corn, cantaloupe, rice and watermelon; and the coastal villages support a small fishing industry.

Average temperatures in Pedasi are 25-27 degrees Celsius year round and Pedasi receives relatively little annual rainfall compared to the rest of Panama. Even though the temperatures are high Pedasi’s ocean breezes have a cooling effect.

The area's local architecture is a combination of Colonial Spanish style and modern day masonry block.

10 Best Places to Visit in Florida - Travel Video

Check out all the places seen in this video:

When most people think of Florida, they think of sunshine, theme parks, orange juice and alligators. But this former Spanish colony, which became the 27th state to enter the Union, is much more than that. Bordered by the Atlantic Ocean on one side and the Gulf of Mexico on the other, it has mile upon mile of white sand beaches. Its moderate climate makes it a popular tourist destination all year round. Here’s a look at the best places to visit in Florida.

Pedasi: Panama's Most Charming Town On The Azuero Peninsula

Subscribe to our E-Letters and discover your overseas haven ???? ???? ???? ????

In a golden corner of Panama’s Azuero Peninsula sits the town of Pedasí. It’s a town with a village atmosphere—large enough to feel like you can live there, yet small enough to make you feel like an active stakeholder in a thriving community.

So what exactly is the Azuero Peninsula?

The Azuero Peninsula constitutes Panama’s southernmost landmass. Jutting into the Pacific, Azuero is an excellent staging post for forays into the ocean and is home to some of Panama’s finest coastline, with idyllic islands lying offshore surrounded by a deep blue and turquoise ocean abundant with rare mammals and marine life

This region is known as the heart of Spanish colonial culture, long famous for religious festivals dating back to the earliest settlement of the area by the Spanish. Some 500 religious celebrations are held each year in Azuero, clearly some kind of miracle as there are only 365 days in the year.

The population of Pedasí numbers only about 2,000, but Los Santos boasts around 85,000 people. Pedasí caters day-to-day needs with small- and medium-sized supermarkets, two bakeries, and several restaurants, bed and breakfasts, and hotels. The region is primarily agricultural, and it is possible to find high-quality fresh produce. In addition, Pedasí has a public health clinic, two banks, a public library, and a small shop selling surf and beachwear.

The capital of the province is Las Tablas, located about 30 minutes north of Pedasí. Chitré is located a little less than an hour from Pedasí and has all the amenities of a medium-sized city with several good hotels. A wide range of restaurants serving both local and quality international food as well as most major fast food outlets are represented. All of Panama’s largest supermarkets have large outlets in the city, and it is here that you can easily and economically stock up on staples.

Pedasí is often considered one of Panama’s most authentic and charming small towns. Located right at the southeast corner of the peninsula, Pedasí is within a few minutes of numerous white-sand beaches and rocky headlands, with numerous sandy coves and hidden coastal delights nearby. Situated on a flat coastal plain in the shadow of the Azuero hills, entering Pedasí is like taking a step back in time. The local population is friendly and hospitable, going out of their way to be helpful. They love baseball, which is taken extremely seriously and competitively at a national level with huge rivalry amongst the three provinces of Azuero.

Pedasí has seen a rise in tourism to the area in recent years due to the gradual discovery of what the town has to offer. Namely, world-class watersports, sport fishing, a number of world-famous surf breaks, and diving and snorkeling in little disturbed and well-preserved coral reefs.

Could you live in Pedasí, Panama? Let us know in the comments!

TRAVEL FROM PANAMA CITY TO BOQUETE BY BUS | Impressed by Panama's bus system

Location: Boquete, Panama
Recorded: January 8-10, 2022
Vlog 92

This vlog encompasses a few days of travel in Panama. We started off on the 8th by leaving Casco Viejo, and catching a nice 8 hour bus to David.

We stayed in David to recuperate from the long bus ride, and enjoyed a surprisingly nice Airbnb for $26 a night (cheap for Central American standards).

On the 10th, we headed out at 10 am to catch the 10:30 bus to Boquete from David. This bus ride was only 40 minutes, but it was quite uncomfortable due to there being so many people on it. We dropped our luggage off at our new airbnb, and set off to explore the town!

We hope you enjoy the vlog, and we are excited to show you more of Panama over the next few days!

Pedasi, Panama - Beaches - (March 27, 2022) - Day 5

#panama #panamadiveadventure #pedasì

Visited several towns within the Herrera and Los Santos Provinces.

Los Santos is a province on Panama’s Azuero Peninsula, which juts into the Pacific Ocean. It’s known for lively celebrations during the nationwide Carnaval, notably in the provincial capital, Las Tablas, with dancing, music, and parades in the streets. Near the southeast coast, the small town of Pedasí is lined with colonial buildings and sits near the sandy beaches of Playa El Arenal and Playa Toro.

Los Santos was very chill when I was there.

I could hang out here for a while.

ℹ️ My intent is to rent for several months in the various locations within Panama that spoke to me and then choose that one location that fits my style.
