We’ve made it to Mexico City! In this video, we are experiencing the market culture in Mexico City (CDMX). We started at, La Merced Market, which is one of the largest and most vibrant markets in Mexico City (CDMX). La Merced can be a bit overwhelming at first, with its labyrinthine streets and endless rows of stalls and vendors. But it's all part of the experience, and we quickly got swept up in the excitement and energy of the place. The market is a true feast for the senses, with the smells, sounds, and colors of Mexico all around you.
We then visited Mercado Sonora, which is a vibrant and bustling market located right next to La Merced. You can find a wide variety of products, from traditional Mexican crafts and souvenirs to exotic herbs, spices, and potions used in traditional folk medicine.
After visiting Mercado Sonora, we continued our exploration of Mexico City by checking out some local establishments. We stopped at a pulqueria, which is a traditional Mexican bar that specializes in pulque, a fermented beverage made from the sap of the agave plant. Next, we visited a cantina, which is another type of traditional Mexican bar. Finally, we took a leisurely stroll around the old town of Mexico City, soaking up the rich history and vibrant culture of the area.

Aunque podríamos decir que los Pueblos Mágicos de Baja California son varios, especialmente si consideramos los poblados en Valle de Guadalupe, la denominación oficial de Pueblo Mágico hasta el momento la tiene el Pueblo de Tecate.
Tecate, localizado al norte de Baja California, es el único Pueblo Mágico que se ubica en la frontera con Estados Unidos y es el punto de partida de la Ruta del Vino.
Rodeado por hermosas montañas y acantilados de piedra, ofrece todo tipo de actividades y un rincón de tranquilidad en medio de las joyas de la naturaleza californiana. El suelo de este pueblo está cubierto de bosques de pino, encino, de vides y olivos.
Bordeado de acantilados, este oasis en medio del desierto es hogar de la montaña Cuchumá y las Pinturas Rupestres de Vallecitos. Ofrece servicios de spa, lugares con comida de autor, quesos, cervezas y lugares para descansar bajo las estrellas.
La deliciosa gastronomía Baja Med ofrece pan dulce y salado, que se puede encontrar en cualquier panadería que conserve las técnicas de elaboración de antaño. La fertilidad de su tierra y la abundancia de agua de los veneros de la Sierra de la Laguna, propiciaron que a finales del siglo antepasado Todos Santos cobrara auge en la agricultura, especialmente en el cultivo de la caña. En 1850 contaba con 8 ingenios.
Esta etapa de bonanza duró aproximadamente cien años. Se construyeron entonces bellos edificios de estilo colonial que albergaron oficinas públicas, hoteles y teatros.

I can’t believe we risked our lives for this … no taco is worth your life, but we were determined to do everything possible to try carnitas in Quiroga, Michoacan! Quiroga is said to be the CARNITAS CAPITAL OF THE WORLD! One thing is for sure, you’ll find the best carnitas in the world in Michoacan, Mexico. We went to Quiroga for the carnitas, but we stayed for an unexpected party that was unlike anything else we’ve ever seen in Mexico. One of our favorite experiences in 2022 for sure.

Join us as we head to Riviera Maya in the Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico to spend almost two weeks at Occidental Xcaret all-inclusive resort! We flew into Cancun International Airport on September 28, 2020 intending to spend ten nights... but we ended up getting delayed by Hurricane Delta, adding two more nights, and returning home on October 8, 2020. We spent six nights in a standard Deluxe room, then six nights in a Royal level suite, so we've got all kinds of excitement to showcase!!
